The painting on the entrance says something akin to "we will always give you the bird here". The risk of driving 15 mins from home to get carry out is high for broasted chicken, getting it home and eating it while it's still crispy and hot poses a challenge. Challenge accepted. Foremost the greeter/server/cashier/maitre d' (who looks like my mom strangely enough) needs to be promoted. When I got home and ate, the chicken was still warm and crispy despite being in a cardboard box for a while. It is a fact that a hot piece of crispy chicken creates condensation resulting in a soggy experience when ordered for takeout. The magic for Mother Cluckers is that it still was crispy! Will return

First time ordering. My daughter enjoyed her catfish. The chicken the rest up us received was old and cold. The hushpuppies were had as rocks and DRY on the inside. Mac and cheese was watery. The worst were the collard greens. Burnt bacon, no seasoning, and why was it so sour? I gave 2 stars for the catfish.

My mothers fried chicken was the best ever. I am not saying that because she was my mother. On Sunday my close friends would ask to stop by. My wedding rehearsal dinner was at my mother house because all my grooms men wanted my mothers fried chicken. Mother Cluckers is second to my mothers chicken. The collards greens are the best. Only complaint- they cook them with pork. Try smoke turkey. Make your customers live longer.

Always drove past this place and finally gave it a try. Hands down the Best Fried Catfish and wife had the Jumbo Fried Shrimp Sandwich which also was good. Son had Shrimp Tacos, also really good. Will be back for some more. One last thing. They have Bread Pudding also the Staff was Amazing, hands down felt that Southern Hospitality from start to Finish the Staff was above and beyond.

Excellent people. Excellent tasting coating on the chicken. Baked beans and the onion straws are fantastic. Very clean. Great prices.

I grew up with a restaurant that served broasted chicken - - that's right, broasted - - and that's what Mother Cluckers makes. For me, they do it perfectly. Once you go broasted, you won't do fried! Not in the mood for chicken, then order the ribs - also excellent. Their sides are good too - my favorite is the Cole Slaw with bits of red and green pepper.

My autistic son and I were looking for a lunch spot today. I've driven past this place a hundred times and never stopped in. Today I thought, let's try it! SO glad we did! The gals at the counter were very pleasant and helpful. I ordered a pulled pork BBQ sandwich with a small side of Mac 'n' cheese. For my son, I got him the large Mac 'n' cheese and (3) chicken fingers. One of the gals brought out our food and the trays were piled high! My son is always hesitant with "new" food, but once he took one bite of the Mac 'm' cheese, he dug in and finished the whole bowl. The chicken fingers were "suspect" but once I tried a bite with catsup and told him how good they were, he plowed through those too! The chicken fingers were crunchy but tender and delicious!Speaking for myself, I think the Mac 'n' cheese is the best I've ever had that I didn't make. My sandwich came with surprise onion strings. I had to doggy bag part of it. OMG! I was super impressed with both of our lunches. We'll be back!

I actually tried this place on a whim because I wanted hush puppies, and it's turned out to be one of our favorites. My husband loves all things barbecue; he says the ribs are the best he's ever had. I'm a big fan of the chicken fingers and hush puppies. But they're also kind of a mystery: They're fried, not greasy but not dry. Absolutely perfect. I've never had anything quite like it. We also tried the pecan pie, which was good and tasted homemade. Definitely a worthwhile stop if you're ever in Palatine!

Was looking for a good BBQ place and found this gem. I appreciated that masks were required. Greeted as soon as we walked in by a wonderfully helpful and friendly staff member. Wish I had asked if she was the owner. She and her coworker could not have been nicer or more helpful. The menu is huge. Everything looks good and best of all everything is made fresh there. Three of us had lunch. Two of us had the 2 piece broasted chicken: 1 breast and 1 thigh. Meals come with 6 hush puppies and 2 sides. These are truly amazing. It is difficult to find hush puppies at bbq places, let alone great ones. The broasted potato wedges dipped in ranch and a little sweet bbq sauce (as suggested) is absolutely delicious. We did the same with our chicken. The chicken was mouthwatering delicious. Crispy and light, not greasy. My husband had the fried catfish and mashed potatoes He loved it and took half home. The portions are very generous. The dining room is very clean. Paper towels and wet wipes are available. Chicago Sports photos hang on the walls. So happy we found Mother Cluckers Kitchen. We plan to be back.

Overpriced and the size of the sides are pathetic. Don't go here anymore. I am not being mean I jam just being honest. I have been around and have eaten at many places. This is just an opinion

Very disappointed with this place. We ordered take out and when we received it I was shocked to find out that their menu is not even their own food. They order their food from Genuine Broaster Chicken and market it as their own but the use Genuine's boxes. The mashed potatoes were super thick with little taste, the biscuits were dry and disgusting but it's very weird this place uses another companies menu

This is the best fried chicken! Crunchy, not oily, taste good. The other not so good is the hus puppies and the corn Cobb. The hush puppies tasteless, after couple minutes outside it harden. The corn is too bland. I hope they out some butter or some spices. Mac and cheese is standard. I feel taste like mack and cheese from the box. Afterall, I will order the chicken only without any side dish.

The food to price ratio is amazing. The quality is worthy of a weekly visit. The Staff are friendly and helpful.

Very nice. We ordered takeout: smothered chicken, chicken and waffles, chicken po boy, pulled pork sandwich, fish tacos, and mashed potatoes. All were very good. We'll be eating here again, and next time, we'll be trying the broasted chicken.I'll also note: by law, single occupancy bathrooms in places of public accomodation (such as restaurants) are required to be gender neutral in Illinois (410 ILCS 35/25). Their facility is not yet compliant with this standard. They also do not appear to hold staff and customers to their mask policy. Hopefully they can address this in the future.

Both times I've been the chicken sandwiches came out dry and a bit flavorless. Positive side is the portion is huge. As much as I like to support local businesses I'd rather get my sandwich at Popeyes down the street.
