I avoid this place because of my prior reviews. This bar cannot pour a proper Guinness and they charge $9 for a lousy pour. My friends decided that they wanted to hit Tap House on St. Patrick's day. I reluctantly agreed. There was still a large tent outside from the Saturday parade etc. Most of my friends ordered Coors light and I ordered a Guinness. Beers arrive and I notice that my beer is not cascading, it's also not poured to the top of the glass. I take one sip and know it is not Guinness. It takes me nearly 10 minutes to flag down our bartender. I confront him on the beer and he says, "yeah, we ran out of Guinness". So, instead of telling me that upfront, this guy tried to pass off another beer as Guinness hoping I wouldn't taste the difference? First, order enough Guinness kegs for the busiest 3 day sales even for Guinness all year. How long have you been doing this? Second, don't ever give me a beer that I didn't order. The staff here is incredibly weak and the training is even worse. ZERO pride of ownership. Every time I have entered this establishment I am amazed at how poorly it is run.

3/2024 4* Love the food! Was excellent! Service was from Lexi, and she did everything with a bright smile. It is a bit noisy for me. I was only there for lunch, but can imagine it would be much louder at dinner time. We will probably be back. But only for lunches.

First time here. Server Emilia was very sweet and extremely personable which really saved the experience. To start we were brought to a dirty table which was quickly cleaned but we should not have been sat before it was reset. We ordered a pitcher of sangria but were told there weren’t enough pitchers and the only available pitcher was being used…so we had to pay by the glass, one would think if it was a restaurant issue they’d find a way to work this out and provide the pitcher rate but pour by glass. We needed to request items more than once from our server even one time ended up flagging down another server to get our waters. Our appetizers came out very late in comparison to when we ordered them. Now listen I’d still come back here cause the food and drinks were great, every employee we encountered was friendly and responsive. Just a few things that could improve.

Attended Palatine's The Great Chili Cook-off and have to say it was a blast. Eleven restaurants looking for 2024's Best Chili and Most Unique bragging rights. The Tap House Grill definitely prepared for the event with tables set off for service, judging as well as a full bar with plenty of tap beers. The Half Day Frozen Tundra on Tap was my favorite draft paired with cups of Chilis from the town's finest restaurants. The service was stellar, band entertaining and space well planned. Definitely looking forward to our return as we're eyeing the Mac N Cheese, Brisket sandwich, Wings and of course the Tap House Grill's lager chili.
sat at the bar and it took almost 10 minutes to get a drink, no waters either. took another 20 minutes to even get attention to order bar food. food was good tho!

So I was there this afternoon with a bunch of buddies mine from UPS Tim was a server boy the company who hired him is lucky talk about amazing service great food no complaining I would never let him go. What a great service he provided and worth ethic always a smile on his face. I wish I went to more locations like this amazing job amazing food.
