Authentic Chinese food in the northwest suburbs. We ordered popcorn chicken, spicy fry hot pot, lamb bao (weekend only special) and egg drop soup. Everything is flavorful, authentic and generous portions. The downside is that they seem to be a bit salty to my taste. The interior of the restaurant is very nice - however the waiter we had didn't seem to speak English and was not able to explain the menu to my non Chinese speaking hubby. Overall I give it four star and would probably try again next time. Don't forget to visit the small Chinese grocery store in the same strip mall to support local businesses.

One of the most authentic Chinese restaurants around this area. We are happy with all the dishes we ordered and they gave you a lot of food with reasonable prices. Waitresses were nice and friendly. I would definitely come back again.

The Dream Place is a traditional Chinese restaurant in Palatine and let me tell you it does not disappoint. The interior is really spectacular and unique. There's quite a lot of room and space and everything seems very clean. We started with the Roast Lamb Bao and it was A+. I definitely will get this every time I go back. Full of flavor, piping hot, and seasoned perfectly. For our entrees we decided on the Braised Pork Belly and the Whole Fish in chili sauce. Even though I'm typically not into pork I have to say it was very flavorful and came with a large veggie portion. A really nice unique dish you don't see too often. And my whole fish was also excellent. Nice spice to the sauce and they even cut the head off for me (didn't want him staring at me)! Service was attentive and made good recommendations. 5 stars!!

This is a Great Chinese restaurant, extremely clean and spacious. Used to go to Chinatown to get food (Lao Sze Chuan). The Boiled Beef is good, pretty much the same, the spicy Popcorn chicken was good but hoping that it is crispier, but not bad at all and the Mongolian beef was good as well. The portion size was right for the price and I think I won't be trekking down to Chinatown for a while for good Chinese because I don't need to. Can't wait to go again.
One of the few best places for authentic Chinese food in North suburb area. They put a lot of effort on their traditional style decorations which is awesome. The owner and waiters were all friendly and willing to talk and explain.

[The Dream Place] The aesthetics of this restaurant was insanely nice, the selection of the menu goes crazy Went with some friends of mine and we ordered the: 北京鸭二吃 - 2 course Peking Duck 干炒牛河 - Beef Stir-fry flat rice noodles (my favorite) 金沙四季豆 - Fried Green Bean with Salted Egg Yolk sauce (just expected some regular green beans but this was honestly surprisingly good) 猪肉白菜水饺 - Pork and Napa cabbage dumplings This is honestly now one of my go to restaurants, definitely got to swing by more this summer to try the rest of their menu 1280 E Dundee Rd Palatine, IL 60074

I'm amazed that this place gets such good reviews. We ordered last night for the first time. The Mongolian Beef and Beef with Broccoli were just okay, the Beef Fried Rice was pretty good, the Garlic Chicken and Egg Rolls were awful.
