I’ll drive the extra few miles and go to the Oak Lawn location as this spot has sold me dry, hard bagels which seem to be 2 days old. The second time is more disappointing as I asked the worker if they were fresh.

I don't write reviews often, but this has been a bad enough experience to merit it. Order one of the omelet items with a four cheese bagel and now I've been sitting next to the toilet for hours with food posioning.

This location has changed so much for the worse. They used to make fresh bagels here and now they all seem to be dry. The basil they used on my sandwich was BROWN! I saw the woman take the container out of the fridge and there was all kinds of brown old basil in it. Clearly they don't have much education of food safety and sanitation. The workers are rude and seem annoyed with someone ordering something. The worker begged me to leave a good review ? must be desperate. Yuck! Shame!

First of all I worked here a long time ago when I was a kid and Chuck was the owner there it was a lot different back then and a more friendly atmosphere . Now the owner doesn’t take responsibility when her workers make a mistake and go in the best interest of the customer. I have a son with allergies and I counted the bagels and it ended up being 11 instead of the 13 on the bakers dozen. The owner didn’t believe me and the girl working there literally dumped all the bagels out on a contaminated space to count them which I was correct that they shorted me two bagels. Not an apology and not even a care that I have a child with dairy allergy and she just dumped them all out which I clearly stated so my child could not even eat any of the bagels. Secondly, my mom came in for four bagels they charged her for half a dozen. Again not an apology for the mistake but I am short staffed not my problem here and the girl working there must have been having a bad day. When you are stealing peoples money and not giving them what they ordered that is a big offense and people should know this. The owner only cares that people are coming in and out of her store but doesn’t appreciate the customers at all. Her workers make mistakes and instead of being a manager and owner she covers up for them and hangs up on people or cuts them short.

Best place ever for a quick breakfast! Everything is always fresh/ delicious and service is always impeccable. I come here almost everyday and I’m NEVER dissatisfied. Can’t get enough! Plus staff is so fast you’re in and out in a few seconds!

One of the very best GAB’s around the Chicago area! Very clean, well-decorated, and a warm, friendly, and welcoming staff. Manned by adults, not nonchalant adolescents. That east window is tough to cope with as the morning sun ☀️ can be overwhelming.

So this location used to be owned by different people, and when they owned it you used to be able to go into the location and actually watch the bagels being made in the machine behind the window, and we used to spend lots of time with our son in there watching them being made while we ate. We do still love the location though. We probably come in here once every week to get bagels for the week. I would recommend this place. You can go in and just get a bagel sandwich if you wanted or buy bagels to take home. The service is always super helpful.
