Our experience here was a little disappointing. The dining room and ladies room lacked luster, the pics online does it justice. The waiter was nice and seemed to be knowledgeable about the menu items. I ordered the crab cake appetizer, it was soft and mushy, not what I'm used to. Also ordered the brussels sprouts appetizer, much to my dismay, they were unexpectedly sweet. The tomato garbanzo soup was decent and the Bougie Mac burger was good and the best part of the meal. Maybe we ordered the wrong items from the menu but we're not interested in testing that theory. I had high hopes but ultimately was not impressed.

Good food. However, the people that work there are inconsistent and have bad communication skills. I was in contact with them all week about placing a to go order for my Easter brunch. They assured me that I can call the day of and take the orders to go. When I called the day of all of a sudden they can’t do to go orders. I understand holidays are busy but I would have appreciated the entire staff being on the same page about how they will operate on holidays. Especially since there are other breakfast places in the area people can chose from

Checked this out as a new brunch spot today and was only disappointed in myself for not finding it sooner! Food was great, atmosphere was friendly, and Drake, the bartender, was an absolute gem!!! Highly recommend as a brunch spot. I’m sure other food is great as well but only speaking from my experience.
I took my son and daughter-in-law here so they could choose from the vegan menu. I ordered the strip steak sandwich with tomato basil soup on the side, a perfect pairing. All three of us were happy with the food and the attentive service. We will be back.

A total GEM of the Southside. I typically go for breakfast or brunch. All of their food has been great, but especially the scotch eggs, the sweet potato hash, crab cakes, chicken and waffle, biscuits and gravy, and really any omelette/scrambles I've had. Good coffee and bloody Marys too. They have homemade jam as well. Don't ever leave please!

They say shop local, but our local breakfast place is always missing or given us the wrong food for pick up. (3x in a row) How do you feel when you drive all the way home and you are missing your food. Mistakes happens but the manager at this establishment was very rude and did not want to accommodate. My pancakes where missing, she responded “what do you want” “pancakes or $2.50 refund” No apology for the inconvenience. No how can we make this right for you. She wanted to control the conversation and at a point almost told me to shut up and let her talk. I gave her my 2cents and then got hung up on. Very sad management! Won’t be patronising this place until the management changes.hopefully soon
This place is all about living local and eating well as it says on their door coming in. The room is large with comfortable booths. I went early ahead of the crowd. Maria was attentive to what I wanted and made recommendations that I believe were spot on. Based on her recommendations, I went with Scotched Eggs? Hardened egg with a hollandaise sauce on top. It was placed over a pesto sauce that had a nice "bite" to it. Wrapped with some type of pork. Phenomenal!!! Gotta get back here to try out the other recommendations from Maria.

On February 24,2024 Our party of 12 arrived on time at 6:00 for an 80th Birthday party! We were told by the hostess that our reservation was at 6:30 and to leave and come back on time. I had made the reservation myself and it WAS for 6:00. To tell 12 people to leave and come back was outrageous. We waited by the bar and were called to our table at 6:35. We were seated in an area that had been empty the entire time we were in the restaurant. There was no "I'm so sorry we made a mistake. Why don't you make yourself comfortable in the bar area? We will have a table for you as soon as possible. I am so sorry you had to wait." Hostess either poor trained and/or temperamentally unfit for job. Our bill was almost $500, food and service excellent.

Searched up the hours online and it says they close at 10p. We arrived at 8:30p on Saturday and me and my girlfriend were told the kitchen was closed. It's unfortunate that certain restaurants still give the ol' McDonald's "our system is down" spiel so the employees don't have to produce or serve food... long before closing.

3.5 stars rounded up. First, when I arrived on a Saturday at 1 pm there was no parking! I attempted to park in back but was told that was for employees. I then had to wait for someone to come out to park which was a bit frustrating as you can't park on the street either. The hostesses were very friendly upon arrival. Despite the busy parking lot there were a handful of tables available. The restaurant is a decent size and reminds of a suburban breakfast place. I had the iced tea which was very good. The only downside is you need to go on a link to see the drink menu instead of it being on the menu itself. I had the salad with smoked chicken. The chicken was very good and very smoked. The salad was large and mostly lettuce but tasty. My friend enjoyed her smoked chicken sandwich and fries. The service was just okay. We didn't get offered a refill and had to ask for one and our plates were never removed from our table until we were paying even though multiple individuals walked by our table and even cleaned another empty table. Overall food was good but not sure I would go back when in the area.

Very dark place shades were down for a place that is farm fresh...the brisket Mac & cheese were bits of brisket & over priced for what you got. This was on Mother's Day.. disappointed. This is what I remember.
