“This ice cream is served by the scoop and so delightful. Lots of fun and slightly unique flavors. So far I have enjoyed the grasshopper pie and the smoreos and peanut butter chocolate. Look forward to trying more! They also have a variety of smoothies as well. The owner was very friendly and helpful. He recommended that my mom get carmel on her apple pie ice cream and she said it really made it. My husband got a flight and enjoyed trying different kinds as well.“

The Balanced Bee - Juice & Broth Restorative Health Food •
4700 N University St #61, Peoria - 1.83 miles

“First off, 5 STARS on the ambiance and the cleanliness of the store.Secondly, I have friends who have tried the cleanses for 3-5 days and have lost a decent amount of weight with numerous other benefits. For me, I really couldn't stand the taste of most of them during my 3 day fast, to the point I would try to skip meals. And I don't blame them-- I think it's just a me issue. So go into it with the right mentality -- All of the benefits and also toughen up on it not being tasty.“

Emack & Bolio's Ice Cream Shop Ice Cream Shop • $$
110 Northeast Water Street, Peoria - 4.03 miles

“Our experience was great. Me and my husband were walking around and saw the ice cream shop and they were open so we decided to go in. The employee was very welcoming and polite. We were both having a hard time deciding on which flavor ice cream we should try. So the employee had us try all of the ones we were wondering about. Then I decided on black raspberry chip and my husband got grasshopper pie. We found out my sundae had the last of my flavor for the whole season and our sundaes had hot fudge and whipped cream they were amazing. We had a wonderful time and we can't wait to go back and try something new“

Smooth Sips Cafe Coffee Shops • $
407 S 4th St, Dunlap - 9.31 miles

“How do I explain how much I love going to Smooth Sips. The atmosphere is always calm and inviting. Colorful artwork from a local school art club splashes tantalizingly across one wall, and there is often jazz music playing. The owner, Crystal, is always ready with a smile (and a smoothie suggestion if you need one!) It is always spotless and the seating options are cozy. I often come in to write (so hopefully you can excuse the flowery review), and it's easy to get work done in the environment Crystal has set. I imagine it would be a lovely space for studying (thankfully I don't have to do that anymore haha). Smooth Sips only uses high quality ingredients, and you can certainly taste the difference. I'm a coffee person myself, and the flavors that are offered are a great balance of options. My favorite is probably the cardamom rose latte, but I'm slowly making my way down the entire flavor list. And that's not even Crystal's specialty! Her smoothies are where she shines. Again, the high quality ingredients add a layer of flavor that commercial smoothie places simply can't match. Her selection is always changing, so be sure to come in and try things while she has them! If you like sweeter smoothies, she is always happy to add some agave for you :) As a fun bonus, Crystal also makes spice blends! She's even won awards for her ghost pepper spice (and in Texas, too, where I'm from, so you know it's good). I've tried her lemon pepper, made with lemon peel rather than just lemon flavor, and it is a rich complex flavor that makes me actually want to learn to cook. Luckily my fiancée does the cooking so I don't have to worry about anything but tasting it in the meantime ;) Speaking of, my fiancée has never been one for coffee shop hangouts, but Smooth Sips has us both coming along for mini-dates. You can order online for pick up at www.smoothsips.com if you want to see the selection before you get here! I personally have not tried the food options like the chia seed pudding, but my friend has and they really enjoyed it. I cannot recommend Smooth Sips enough. I probably am mildly annoying my friends and coworkers about it, but I will continue to do so, because it's just that good. If you visit, I'm sure you will agree. 10 stars.“

“I have eaten at the 50's Diner and was totally dazzled with both the food and the client care. The nostalgic feeling promptly moves you to a past time, setting the ideal scene for a wonderful eating experience. The menu boasts a fabulous cluster of exemplary coffee shops, and each dish I attempted surpassed my assumptions in taste and presentation. The team of waiters at the 50's Burger joint merits exceptional tribute for their well-disposed and mindful help. They were educated about the menu as well as made a special effort to guarantee that each part of our feasting experience was charming. With the brief support of certifiable grins, the group at the 50's Cafe genuinely knows how to create an inviting and vital climate. I enthusiastically prescribe this cafe to anybody looking for a sample of wistfulness combined with extraordinary food and administration.“
