The server was very attentive, and all the food came out super fast and hot. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone! This is extremely disturbing & unacceptable, please explain why this was happening and what is being done to restore our trust.Tawa Kitchen at 816 W. Pioneer Parkway, Peoria, received four priority, seven priority foundation and 13 core violations. These included:None of the "cooked product within establishment is marked with a use-by date." According to the health department, "Food prepared and held in a food establishment for more than 24 hours must be clearly marked to indicate the date or day by which the food must be consumed on the premises, sold, or discarded when held at a temperature of 41°F or less for a maximum of 7 days."The health department found a hand sink in the kitchen did not have liquid soap. Along with this, hand sinks in the kitchen and men's restroom did not have paper towels.Multiple employees "handled food without washing hands while preparing product."The health department observed that the inside "of all microwaves are heavily soiled."Butter was discarded after the health department found it was "not maintained at 41°F, or less."Source: PJ Star

My absolute go-to Indian restaurant in Peoria. In my opinion it's the best in Peoria. I loved their Biriyani, so light and flavourful. If you order mild spice level Biriyani, they have a nice Ghee aroma in it, which I love the most. Some of my favorites are, Route65 Biriyani, Chicken dum biriyani, goat biriyani, Tawa Fish (Tawa hot, it's hot and awesome). Service is outstanding, our server guy went above and beyond, so helpful, knowledgeable and polite. I would definitely recommend them.

I came here to try Indian food for the first time and it was amazing.I ordered the Boneless Chicken Biryani with the Garlic Naan and I was in food heaven.The waiter was helpful in showing us how to eat the food properly and even recommended what to try next time.We will be back and hopefully bring our family.

A very nice spot in #Peoria #Illinois to enjoy #halal #Indian cuisine. Staff is friendly and courteous. Chicken boti that I ordered was excellent. It was juicy with right spices. Gajar Halwa was good though I would call it #gajrella. The serving was generous. The only reason I gave atmosphere a 4 is because of inadequate heating on a very cold night. The staff is very lean. Be prepared to order using the QR code on your table and make payment via your cell phone. You can also order at the counter.#food #travel #desifood #Pakistani

First take away. Food is wonderful. Need more protein in the Biryani in the lamb. The chicken Biryani had excellent amount of protein.Didn't like at all nothing labeled. Simple permanent marker would help!
