Arrived at about 11:15am on a Sunday. Wasn't busy at all, or so it seemed, as there were 11 empty tables and plenty of staff. We were told there would be a 15 minute wait ... yes, even with all the empty tables. After 20 minutes of waiting we left. I can only imagine the wait for the food if there was that long of a wait just to be seated ... with empty tables available. We won't be back.

I have eaten at the 50's Diner and was totally dazzled with both the food and the client care. The nostalgic feeling promptly moves you to a past time, setting the ideal scene for a wonderful eating experience. The menu boasts a fabulous cluster of exemplary coffee shops, and each dish I attempted surpassed my assumptions in taste and presentation. The team of waiters at the 50's Burger joint merits exceptional tribute for their well-disposed and mindful help. They were educated about the menu as well as made a special effort to guarantee that each part of our feasting experience was charming. With the brief support of certifiable grins, the group at the 50's Cafe genuinely knows how to create an inviting and vital climate. I enthusiastically prescribe this cafe to anybody looking for a sample of wistfulness combined with extraordinary food and administration.

The food is good amazing even, but if your looking for a quiet place to enjoy breakfast or lunch this is not the place for you. Ive been here 3 times and each time there are the loudest rudest most inconsiderate coustmers ever. I wish it was a Karens diner instead so the staff could tell people to STFU!

Ordered country fried steak with mashed potatoes, waitress came back several minutes later to tell me they were out. She recommended the country fried chicken so I went with it. Chicken was dry and loaded with salt, mashed potatoes were not good either, they were bland like they came out of a box.

It's just okay. Burger was dry, nothing special. Fries were decent and crispy, but just bought in bulk and deep fried. Not handmade, so nothing stood out as exceptional. Fries with the loosey meat was good, but they are $10. I asked the lady seating people where to pay, she was snarky in her response, "Underneath the big sign that says pay here" she said. It's fine, I won't need to look for that payment sign in the future when I don't come back.

IDK if the 50s diner changed hands; but, all new servers, and my Juke Box breakfast was unsatisfying since I requested runny poach eggs. I received hard poached eggs. When I informed my server, she said I put the eggs in and set the timer for 3 minutes. duh that's why I instead received hard boiled eggs. Poached eggs are between 1.5 to 2 minutes if you apply the vinegar properly. I think the server maybe poached in an electric poacher. Since then I learned how to poach my own delicious poached eggs and enjoying my brunch at home.

Had a great breakfast/lunch in Peoria. Horseshoe breakfast with biscuits, hash browns, eggs and gravy was very good. Biscuits were soft, tender and fresh. Loose meat sandwich was very good with mustard, pickles (onion optional) and sweet potato fries was enjoyed. First time for loose meat and had great flavor.
