Came in for your special today 3-14 and you were sold out! i was in around 2:45 and kielbasa and saurkraut were sold out. one waitress didnt enen know anyting anout it. was very disappointed!

Beautiful clean family owned restaurant has open dining areas with lots of light.The food is hot & flavorful. The menu has plenty of selections without being overwhelming and is reasonably priced for the area. The waitstaff works with one another when busy, so you have someone checking with you if you need anything.My husband and I love their fried chicken, but we have had many opportunities to try different items from the menu and have enjoyed each one. The restaurant has 3 separate dining areas. There is a diner area complete with counter and table seating and separate gaming area. You never hear gaming while relaxing and enjoying your meal.On the opposite side is a large, bright, open dining area with plenty of table and booth seating. There is a smaller open dining room that can be used for private gatherings, birthdays, breakfast groups etc. 4 Star is our go-to place when we want to sit relax and have a good meal.Parking: Front lot parking plenty of handicap spots clean, flat uninterrupted surface.

I just went to four star with my three kids. We came in sat down next to a couple who sat at the exact same time as us. A server came up to them almost immediately while we sat there with no menus. 15 minutes go by and still no menus. Finally a lady came and brought some menus and got our drink order brought back the kids drinks no lids on the youngests drinks then brought my drink ten minutes after still no waiter or waitress has came up to us. We legit waited 35 minutes the table the sat at the same time as us had got there soups and there dinner and is about done with there dinner and still no one has got our order so i grabbed my kids and left. I don’t know if they saw a women with kids and thought that’ll be a bad tip and just ignored us and yes they were busy they always are but to be almost completely ignored four 35 minutes is outrageous I even made eye contact with at least three for sure waitresses of theirs never have I went to a restaurant and been ignored bad service yes but ignored by every waiter and waitress in the place absolutely ridiculous. Talked to the owner on the way out and he said well we are busy I said not to busy to serve the six tables that came in after us and not to busy for the table that sat at the same time as us to finish there meals though. I believe your waiters and waitresses saw us and thought bad tip we don’t want them little do they no I’ve been a waitress before and not only do I clean up after myself and buss the table I am a good tipper I’ll take my business to country house in lasalle from here on outKid-friendliness: Stop seeing kids and assuming it’s a bad table
This is our number 1 place for a restaurant to eat any meal between eggs to apple pie waffles and from homemade chicken noodle soup to broiled fish or a thin diner style steak and anything in between.. For breakfast to brunch and lunch all the way to supper and a snack b4 going to bed.. The hours of this casual restaurant are from 6A to 10p ALL DAYS OF THE WEEK.. The owners Esa and Mary are extremely nice and will make sure that their customers are fully satisfied with their eating experience.. It is a very friendly , very family orientated, and lgbtq friendly as well.. Feel free to ask any questions, concerns, comments, suggestions, along with the occasional complaint.. Although , these are very far in between.. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCAL WELL KNOWN RESTAURANT!!! YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED IN YOUR EXPERIENCE..Vegetarian options: there are several options on the menu for vegetarians, but as a vegan you can ALWAYS ask and the owners will do their very best to accommodate their customers..Dietary restrictions: The wait staff are very versatile to the customers needs and can all describe to the cooks the needs and restrictions of that customers diet..Parking: There is plenty of parking.. Slanted parking is available at the front, right side and back of restaurant to allow anything from bike to semi trailers the ability to park.. the ONLY NEGATIVE is that out of all of these available parking slots , there are ONLY 2 MARKED SLOTS FOR HANDICAPPED ♿️ VEHICLES.. These 2 slots can only accommodate a car or a small truck and only has diagonal stripes in between the two spots, making it extremely difficult for persons with disabilities to have a Very Difficult OR Impossible time getting in and out of the PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE PARKED ON THE RIGHT SLOT where those 2 lonely DISABILITY spots are in the very large parking lot..Kid-friendliness: 4Star Restaurant is very kid friendly by having highchairs available and has an adequate selection of kid friendly foods from breakfast to dinner and dessert items.. They also have crayons and coloring sheets available and have a separate side room that can be used for parties of all occasions including children's birthdays for a minimal and next to nothing additional fee to use for the occasion..Wheelchair accessibility: 4 Star is wheelchair ♿️ accessible by having a divot in the cement slab going from parking lot to restaurant doors.. The restaurant doors are wider than typical standard door widths, allowing for wheelchairs that are wider to easily pass thru the doorways.. They have a women's restroom that is handicapped with a larger than standard slot in the restroom, with a slightly elevated toilet and handicapped bars to assist the woman with getting on and off the toilets.. However, the mens restroom , I have no idea if it is the same as women's restroom as I have no idea what it looks like in there.. However, the bathroom is a bit small, not leaving much room to maneuver around if person is larger or in a wheelchair, which can lead to possible accidents.. And as mentioned above, the parking lot only has 2 marked handicapped ♿️ slots available for a pretty large lot.. they could really benefit from a bathroom remodel, cement sidewalk update and more handicapped parking spots available..
