“They had something for vegans and filed up my water every time it got low”
“If I lived in Chicago, at least in the North Side, you'd probably find me here a lot. That's because it felt less like a bar and more like a gathering place. Or I guess I should say a "gay-thering" spot. Spreading over two floors, it manages to be spacious and cozy at the same time. There are bars on both floors which makes hanging around super-convenient. As expected, there are pool tables as well as skeeball and darts. Watch out for the latter as they fly right in front of the stairwell. Jamie W. and I settled down on the main floor and had their special $5 Margaritas (photo: What made them special? Hey, they're $5. Needless to say, we had a couple each and were feeling no pain with the friendly staff and customers to be found here. DRINKS - 4.5 stars...did I mention the $5 margaritas? AMBIANCE - 5 stars...fun and chill SERVICE - 5 stars...doubly chill TOTAL - 5 stars...gay-ther together RELATED - Exploring Chicago? Here's my collection of places I've visited and reviewed:”
“Hi l just to bring this to the manager this is my favorite place to stop before my shift starts but that guy with the glass and hat take your order and make your food hes so rude he doesnt have skills to taker customers Im sure hes not happy working here manager need to do”
“This is one of two pizza places we order from in the neighborhood. Their garden salad is fantastic. The small actually does serve two people and the ranch dressing is EXCELLENT. The Detroit style pizza never disappoints. Usually get the 4-corner for 2 people. I like that we can split toppings since I don't like the same toppings as my spouse. Very fast delivery, but it's also in walking distance from my house, so I usually just go pick it up.”
“Love Taste of Lebanon! Super friendly staff. The Lebanese salad and kefta are my favorites. Cash only! Thanks for being such a great part of the neighborhood.”
“The macaroons are delicious and the bathrooms are really clean and the lady is really nice and she decorated it really good you should definitely go here it is Super clean, beautiful and colorful”
“We had a fabulous time at Penelope's. I always have a bias toward vegan restaurants only because I have so many options to choose from. This place has an outstanding menu with all the traditional Mexican dishes made vegan. Clean and cute ambiance with very attentive and friendly service. We went in for a brunch and loved it! We ordered the Pambazo, chilaquiles, and a side of guacamole with chips. Everything was great with the right amount of flavors. Can't wait to be back.”
“We are mussel connoisseurs and usually prefer them in white wine broth, we tried both with the beer and white wine and both absolutely delicious! Our Belgium beers took us back to Brussels! The Biergarten out back is quaint and perfect on a sunny day. This place took us back to Brussels in Europe! Thanks Hopleaf!”
“The drinks, food and service were all great. We sat outside. The sidewalk, patio seating is nice. We were visiting from out of town and local family who'd been here before directed us on what to order. I had the chopped salad with no protein. It was very good and very filling. My boyfriend's brother also ordered the salad. His wife had the Buddha bowl and I tried some of the veggies. They were cooked well but a little bland. My boyfriend had the Salmon and he enjoyed it. The star of the night was the key lime pie! It was incredible. It's from a local pie cafe called First Slice. Overall we had a good time. The drinks were great too. I would return.”

“Cute place, they even had orange wine by the glass which can be hard to come by! They make their own pasta which is sweet! I got the pasta with ox tail ragu, really good. The zucchini salad was surprisingly good as well. The portions aren't huge for what you pay for, so it is a bit over priced compared to other similar spots. But you definitely don't walk away hungry! I'm not sure I'll go back but i was glad I went

Dietary restrictions: They have gluten free pasta options!”
