This is easily one of my most disappointing reviews. When we first came here it was actually one of the best restaraunts we have been to. I have tried dang near everything on the menu and almost every time it was amazing.I'm not sure what happened but recently the food has been awful. Undercooked, chewy, they even forgot my sons order. The waiters/waitresses are very hit or miss. You can get a good one and its everything you hoped for or you can get one that is completely absent or wont leave you alone (didnt know this could be a problem lol)Backroads if you read this stop buying frozen crap or get back your old chef. Something seriously has changed in the kitchen and we won't be back until something changes.

Love the food there. Service is always good and nice atmosphere. The thing I like the most about BackRoads is they were one of the few restaurants around who ignored the fake pandemic shutdown. I go there 2-3 times a month and will always support them.

Its was our first time there on a whim on Friday night for dinner. Neither of us wanted to cook so we did a Google search for eating out. Backroads came up so we went. What a great experience. The food was excellent, service was outstanding, and the atmosphere was fun and entertaining. A great choice of beers and a comprehensive delicious menu. My wife and I will be returning. Multiple times in the future.

Please don't believe the reviews that claim their food here is bad. I've tried almost everything on the menu and it's all delicious.The first time I went here years ago, it was slow during lunch hour, and someone I'm guessing the manager, decided to give me a free meal for something they were thinking of adding to the menu.This place really cares about what's on their menu enough to randomly get feedback from their customers when they are trying something.It's only happened once, but I do think it shows their commitment to quality.Great atmosphere, great bartenders.
I recently visited Backdoor Burger and Bar in Plainfield, IL and had a great time. It's a nice place to hang out with friends for drinks ?. The bar was almost full on Thursday evening, which gave it a lively vibe. The food was tasty and affordable, making it a great spot to grab a bite to eat while enjoying some drinks. Overall, I would definitely recommend checking out Backdoor Burger and Bar for a fun night out with friends.

Tried this place for the first time and it was excellent! I had the Boujee burger and the flavors were like an explosion in your mouth! This is the kind of burger that you think about the next day, and one of the best things I’ve eaten. I hear the fries are awesome but thought tots would go better and they were the perfect side. The burger was fresh and juicy and the tots were crispy and not greasy. My husband had the fish tacos and they were delicious too! The cod was fresh and crispy and the taco had a lot of good crunchy and creaminess to it. The rice and elote sides were really good too. We ordered the Reuben rolls for our appetizer and they were good but I thought they could’ve used a little more meat and wouldn’t splurge on them again. This place has a wide selection of beers and cocktails to choose from too. An excellent place to enjoy a beer and a burger, and I can’t wait to go back!

The food and the service was excellent !! We had the cheese curds and the Philly rolls for sb appetizer. Both we amazing . I had the Me So Corny and my wife had the Down South Philly Absolutely delicious !! Our server Linda was fantastic !! It’s a 45 minute drive for us and we will definitely be back !!

Same night update: My wife just threw up her salad, 30 minutes after getting back home brining us from frustrated to furious.I really wanted to like this place, we frequently meet up with family on Sunday's for dinner. I found the food to be good (not great), service to be decent (not good), but the biggest takeaway was the price, way too high for the quality of food and service. We will not be returning.Especially of note was the kids food. $8 for kids meals, in this case, a grilled cheese or mac and cheese and what appeared to be fruit cocktail cup was very disappointing. My kids primarily eat fruit and wouldn't touch it.I had the Mike Bison burger, it looked nothing like the picture in their ad, which is what sold me in the first place, it's not a $20 burger, not even close. I probably would have returned to try other burgers and salads, but again, they are overpriced, so we will seek out other options.Kid-friendliness: This place was kid friendly, but was very much a bar. I would not suggest bringing kids to eat due to pricing. $8 for kids meals, in this case, a grilled cheese or mac and cheese and what appeared to be fruit cocktail cup was very disappointing.
