This is my favorite plainfield restaurant. Food and service is always great. Prices are fair and I am usually shocked at how low my bill is.

We love eating here but sadly they removed the PIMENTO CIGARS from the appetizer menu. This alone was worth the drive, sadly ? we may visit less without this unique menu item.

Just did an anniversary of sorts dinner here with the wife and kid. I had the shrimp pesto pasta, wife had the penne pasta with Artichoke and salmon, and the kid had the nuggets. To start, young lady serving us was very nice and attentive. She was always around in case she was needed so she was the bright side of the dinner. My pesto pasta with shrimp had zero salt. I had to salt the pasta 3 times to get to an acceptable level. The shrimp appeared the size of one's you'd see used in a Chinese shrimp fried rice as well as well as being overcooked and tough. My wife's pasta dish included a few Artichoke leaves on the top but zero Artichoke throughout the pasta itself which was disappointing. Also, the sauce was an extremely thick cheese and cream mixture that was far too thick. She managed to only eat a third of the dish before she couldn't stomach anymore. Lastly, the nuggets were from McDonald's. No lie....they had the McDonald's smell and visible texture on the inside. Very odd. Overall, for an $84 bill after tip, we won't be going back here.

Love HopScotch & Vine. Their Pot Roast Sandwich is fantastic, I have to get it everytime. The staff is always friendly and service is awesome. The decor is warm and cozy. In the summer it's a great place to sit outside and eat. Also, had my daughter in law's baby shower there. Karissa and Jen were wonderful to work with. They went out of their way to make it a special day. Had a brunch menu and the food was great.

Tried this place today for Easter and it was amazing! Great food! Server went above and beyond! I screwed up my drink order and she fixed it immediately at no charge. 11/10 spinal tap approved.

I love this place! It’s so cute inside, in both the bar room & dinning room. I even had my shower here & the event space is just as cute & was done so nice. I’ve never had a bad meal or bad experience here. The spinach & artichoke dip is the best I’ve ever had. Their caprese Sandwhich & grilled veggie sandwich are my go-tos. They had a lemon sour beer on top sometime last year & it was fantastic. I always recommend this place to others!

Normally, we love Hopscotch and Vine and I usually get the Sheila. Tonight I switched to the filet with a baked potato and fries instead of the vegetables. My wife got the chicken piccata with roasted vegetables. My medium well steak was just barely rare and my baked potato (which I had been upcharged for) was asparagus. The rice pilaf with my wife's meal was under cooked and her "roasted vegetables" were also asparagus. I wasn't in the mood to drive another 20 minutes each way to get a replacement meal, so I'm still hungry. Such an utterly disappointing meal from a place that is usually good. Attached is a picture of some of my steak

We came in for drinks during the week, the bartender was rude. We had two couples and when we ordered drinks, 0 for 4 . The bartender states that they were out of the ingredients for the drinks that we wanted. ?

This is a smaller venue with two small rooms. The tables are fairly close, but not 'uncomfortable'. The prices were reasonable, the food was good (nothing 'special'), and the service was very responsive. The atmosphere was a step above casual, but my wife and I dressed a little nicer and didn't feel out of place at all. You could also come in jeans and not feel out of place. Overall, while the food was good, the wine was good, the prices were reasonable, and the service was good - there was nothing that put it 'over the top'. If you're looking for a good place to eat, you probably won't be disappointed here.

Cute place little pricey for what it is. Service was fine . Would go back just wouldn't make it a destination place
