I tried the taco dinner at the plainfield market. Tacos are good. Rice was okay. I only see them at farmers market. They are on FB but no address was available.

From Southern California, I'm biased. Been to awesome Mexican food restaurants downtown Chicago, but our very favorite Mexican food in all of Illinois! The best people preparing everything!

Steak Tacos are very good... Steak and Chicken are often slightly over cooked and dry, but the flavor profiles outside of that are terrific at their cost point! Love this place and their friendly family staff!

Nice place. Very friendly staff. Good food. Cute mijaaaa at the front my wife now. I just moved out here and have been looking for some quality Mexican food I THINK I HAVE FOUND THE ONE.

The best tacos in Plainfield area! My husband loves the alambre specialty taco. I love their steak tacos with cheese, onion, and cilantro. Very flavorful! And they aren't skimpy with the meat. The avocado salsa costs extra but highly recommend! So delicious. It does have a kick to it if spice is not your thing- you've been warned! Their chips are definitely homemade too. I was skeptical to try this place since it's in the BP gas station. But it really is yummy!

Foods great and with the wait which really is not that bad. There are many choices in this area, but place is on the top of my list.

Overrated. I can only speak for the steak and the beef. Steak tacos were full of grizzle and fat. Lacked flavor. And very expensive compared to the other taco joints around. Beef burrito although decent size Lacked a lot of flavor and again over priced. Cheese is extra on every item which I find ridiculous considering the other places around its included. I've tried this place at least 3 times since they opened and they have never impressed me. I do not recommend it.

I'd give these guys 3.5 stars if I could do half ratings. I've driven past this place many a time since my gf lives close by; it's located in a BP gas station. They're moving to a new location soon since it seems business is good. I got tacos- 2 steak, 1 chicken, with cilantro & onion, each priced at $2.69. Pretty tasty but a bit too much cilantro for me. If you eat there, they bring you chips & salsa. I also got a small order of guacamole for $5 (12 oz container). My bill came out to $15 including tax. The guac has big chunks of avocado, which I liked, but too much onion. I'd come back cuz it's not far from my gf's place, but I'd ask them to ease up on certain ingredients.

I will admit that I have only eaten here once, but I was unhappy with my visit. I had a steak burrito that had fatty and dry meat that was fairly flavorless. The salsa had kick but once again no flavor . The chips were decent enough but I walked away with a 35$ bill and sub par food. There is local Mexican food that is consistently better for less money , and that is where I will be eating in the future.

Update on 9/25/18 They are still fantastic! Alambre taco Steak, cheese, green pepps & onions. Good service & nice little place. They are about to leave the gas station and mive a couple of bldgs S to the yoga/gym place. So theyll have more room & Im sure theyll have an expanded menu and Im looking fwd to it! Not sure what that timeline is

1 star is a stretch. I used to frequently hit here for breakfast tacos ( which are awesome ) and then the changed their hours from 7am opening until 10am. They used to have lines of people at 7am but the cook at the time was NEVER ready at 7. People stopped coming because of it. Now with their hours opening at 10am they are never ready. I work right down the street and I've walked in at least a half dozen times to order at 10am and they have 30 lbs of meat cooking, all the chairs are up, and the guy says that they aren't ready. Today I came in at 9. Same thing. I asked him if he'd be ready by 10, and he says yes. I come back at 9:55 and 30 lbs of meat on the grill and can't make any breakfast tacos. That prep cooking should be finished BEFORE they open. I'm done going here after this... Also Their lunch food is Mediocre at best

Everything on their menu rocks...and this gem is located inside a BP gas station! (Limited seating; I typically get it to go)

Great authentic Mexican food. The taco are delicious and we love their burritos and nachos. We usually get steak and al pastor. We come here about once or twice a month.

Yes, the best place to buy Mexican food in Plainfield is inside a gas station! Go to the BP at 135th and rt59 turn right when you walk in and get blown away by awesome food. I have never ordered anything here I didn't love. When you are done eating,I recommend getting some tamales to go. Everyone I tell about this place or take here tells me they will be back.

Tacos were ok,they are located on the side of the BP gas station, and they have a nice little seating area. The staff was pretty friendly. We ordered steak tacos and al pastor...the steak tacos were decent. $2.50 and extra for cheese..the al pastor tacos weren't anything that I'd order again-just tasted like slow cooked pork without that hint of sweetness or pineapple that is usually in al pastor meat...I think that the price is decent enough to give them a try,but I wouldn't go out of my way to eat them.
