“Becoming more of a dive bar which is kind of sad. Food good as always, A CRIME that the waffle fries were replaced by generic cafeteria fries. Also look up the review by “Sand Serpent” or search “burger” I have never seen a more woke idiot in my life. Really gave me a laugh and def keeps me coming “
“I can only speak to their breakfasts but they make one of the best breakfast burritos I've ever had. Stuffed with filling, evenly spaced ingredients, thin tortilla with a nice sear. The chorizo and the regular both are fantastic. The burritos in themselves make me come here. But I also return for the fabulous service. They're always fast and friendly. Great little neighborhood spot and one of our favorites for breakfast!“
“This is the best place to eat in belvidere. Thank you for putting the dinning room back in. The service and the new owners are awsome. The all really turned coach's Corner in to a family friendly place. My 4 year old son loves the gaming area. He's become a pinball master! Chef coach keeps us coming back with the daily secret menu.Kid-friendliness: A peaceful atmosphere both in bar area and dining room. Plus the gaming area is a great spot to play together.Wheelchair accessibility: Level entry way. Low top tables and booths in dining room. Owners are fast to accommodate any and all special requests for their guest's needs“
“It was what we were looking for, a Super traditional and very packed Friday night fish fry. It’s not fancy and it was pretty loud. The peak dining hour is 6 PM and you’ll have to wait a few minutes but they turned the tables over quickly. Walleye, Cod, and Salmon are the hot items but the whole menu is available so everyone should be able to get something they want. Limited desserts but they looked pretty good.“
“My wife and I dined here today. We had blueberry pancakes and a broccoli and cheese omelette, followed by carrot cake. All were perfect. Prices were fair. The service was friendly and helpful. We were fortunate to have met the owner, who was quite welcoming and warm. Great experience, highly recommended.“
“So thankful we stumbled upon this hidden gem. We were looking to try a new little spot and didn't realize we would find a new favorite! We shared the Jerk Chicken Egg Rolls, the Reuben and the Ribs and loved them all. Overall very casual environment with great service from Tim! Thanks for hosting us. Looking forward to coming back and trying some of the other menu items!“
“Ya cannot go wrong with anything on the culvers menu. This place holds so much nostalgia for me but even without the fond memories the food still is good quality. They have consistency, quality, and good flavor in everything they make. It feels fresh and yet it’s still considered “fast food”“
“The all you can eat riblets were amazing, even my kids loved them. I like the range of sides for the kids menu. Melissa was great and made sure we had everything we needed. We got our food fast and we were very happy.Kid-friendliness: The entree and side options for kids is great. They asked if we would like our kids food first since they cook faster so they didn't have to wait, even though our wait was short already!“
“This place has been a Belvidere staple for many years. They are under different ownership. The food quality is, and has always been great. Service is usually very fast and efficient, but like all places today, that can vary, as it is harder to get and retain staff. But the only complaint with this restaurant is, the pricing. It's a little like going to buy a new car. You never know what you will end up paying. Start with the menu. It lists 2 eggs, bacon, hash browns and toast at under $7.00. It actually is around double that. There are also various add on's they charge for, like using a credit/ debit card. That is not, listed on the menu. I understand the business pays a fee for accepting credit transaction's. However, there are quite a few benefits. First, you do not have to make change with a customer. Not many people realize it, but banks charge their commercial customers a fee per roll, for getting coins. You do not have to count the money, and balance it with expected receipts. Nobody has to take the money to the bank to deposit it, which is a safety risk. A lot of businesses use a service like brinks, which is an additional cost. Credit/ Debit transactions are posted to your account within 24 hours. Cash transactions will depend on when you get the money to the bank, and they count it. On a holiday weekend, it could take 4 days. Most smart businesses might adjust prices 2-3%, if they wanted to pass this cost on. But penalizing customers for using it, is short sighted. And the menu- I am sure there have been quite a few customers who get " sticker shock" from this. I have talked to the owner on a number of occasions. He has complained about how slow they are, during the week. Seems to me, running senior specials during this time period, might help him out. Embracing technology, like credit/ debit cards, is a must. Being honest and forthright by having a menu that actually reflects your prices, should be a given. Belvidere has lost quite a few restaurants since the pandemic. The Stellantis plant is expanding and will be bringing in a lot of new jobs. Your future should be secure. Be honest, and transparent, and the loyalty of Boone county will support you, for years to come. Had a reply from someone who says the menu prices are correct. Unless they printed a new menu while being closed for their plumbing issue, this is not true.“
“This is a great small town place with extremely friendly service and fun events on different nights of the week. Taco Tuesdays are tasty and light on your wallet. In the cold months there are a variety of apple pie shots to choose from. We enjoy Mort's regularly!“
