You're going to have to search a little to find this place, because it isn't well marked (it's behind the main building on the Illinois Veterans Home campus... look for the little building with the post office box out front). It's worth looking for, though, because the food is great, everyone is friendly, and the prices are low -- $4 for a BLT and less than $5 for a Chicken Wrap. There are only a few tables inside and more outside (but still inside the main building), but I doubt this place gets too busy due to it's hidden location. Go there if you're visiting the All Wars Museum or folks at the Veterans Home, or just go there to get some good, cheap eats!

CHOMPZ has the BEST specialty burgers in town. I had a little trouble finding it with Google Maps on the VA Base, but of course, the vets helped me out! Got the Florida Sunrise this time and it's wonderful as always.

If you're looking for a good place to eat... don't come here. Any other fast food place has better burgers and you won't wait half the time I did. Chicken strips tasted like they were straight out of a middle school cafeteria.

This was our first time here and we had an awesome experience. Friendly and clean environment (floors a little sticky in front of counter) but other than that it's a wonderful atmosphere. Food was hot and fresh. Even got to meet Steve the owner. Very nice man with a great smile. Amazing food and even beverages/teas. The sides were awesome too. Cheese curds,skillet beans, funnel cake fries oh my!!!!

Drive up order for a regular pork tenderloin and fries. The tenderloin wasn’t the huge variety (it wasn’t 3 times the size of the bun) but it was thick, moist and very tasty. Fries were crispy and perfectly salted. I’ll definitely be back for more.

Placed an online order and picked it up and get home only to find no buns or anything else for the gigantiloin in the box! Then open the bag with the rest of the order only to find hair on the cheese curds!

Great tenderloins!! Thick, cooked perfectly, and very tasty! Staff is friendly and helpful. Limited hours during the week but open late on weekends. Daily specials are a great bargain!

Visiting family and stopped here for dinner. I wish we had kept driving. The cheeseburgers lacked flavor and chili cheese dog was mush. The only good part of the meal was the milk shake but they ran out of chocolate ice cream and had to improvise with vanilla and chocolate syrup.
