I've ordered twice now from Crust and Crumbles for work meetings. They do not disappoint and the product is a lot nicer than say, bringing donuts from a national chain, with people happily impressed. Each time I've ordered, it has been over the phone and staff have been great, explaining the products and being patient while I'm in a hurry and multitasking. On pickup, the shop looks clean and attractive, people are happy, and there is typically a small line (which is rapidly served.) The only negative there is that later in the day their selection may be limited due to sales.Everything I've tasted has been great and the prices are reasonable. They have become my go-to pastry place in Rockford. Cheers!

Pastries ? are fresh and tasty and the turkey club sandwich was quite satisfying. It’s a cute place adjoining the indoor Rockford’s City Market, so there are plenty of places to sit and enjoy the food.

Unfortunately got there right around closing time, so pickings were slim. Got the the red velvet cupcake and kitchen sink cookie. The red velvet cupcake was probably the best I ever had, right on the upper end of sweetness and richness if you prefer stuff not too sweet. Hard to get a great judge on atmosphere and service as it was essentially just me in there ?

Cannot share food review because after waiting at minimum 10 minutes, with no one ahead of me, no welcome from either of the 2 people behind the counter, one taking a phone order and packing same, the other making coffee, without even a smile or “will be with you in a minute,” we left and went next door to the Magpie where we received a warm welcome and wonderful food. I will not bother going back.

Great place to go in Rockford for breakfast or to get baked goods. It has coffee along with avocado toast and more. Crust & Crumbles is one of the businesses located in the City Market, a collection of locally owned places. Has a small but well balanced menu of breakfast and lunch items. The place is pretty small inside with some window seating making it best for small groups to get something. Came at breakfast and there was room at the window for eating. It's pretty hard to find room in here. The dining area outside the cafe is another option. It's about $2.50 for coffee. Of course there's not a lot, but what they do have is good though. Last time I got the Ethiopian blend. We also got the Avocado Toast. It's about $8 for a loaded piece of bread. This had arugula, feta which I left off, homemade tomato and pepper jam, pickled onions, and tomatoes. Here's a great place especially at breakfast. It can have pretty long lines, so maybe call to place an order. The breakfast menu has coffee and pastries, and there's options for meat eaters and vegetarians.

The baked goods here are unmatched! The staff is so incredibly kind, sweet, and friendly. Their lunch and breakfast options are so satisfying and taste out of this world. I would also recommend getting their pizza on pizza night, and chicken pot pie on pie night. It is curiously the best chicken pot pie I have ever had. Their flavor combos are so unique and good.

I ate up my treat too fast to even get a picture of it to post! Delicious :)

This is in the City Market and has no outside signage. There is some high-table seating, but you may do better outside in the shared tables/chairs between the various City Market businesses. The biscuit sandwich has no vegetarian option, but they'll make you one without meat. Tasty biscuit; the cheese is American and if I order again I'll ask them to make it without the syrup (!); syrup on eggs and cheese was a little weird. We tried the cheddar/jalapeno pastry; the lemon blueberry; and an apricot almond. All good; all held up fairly well (we were travelling to somewhere else).

My husband and I couldn't decide between a lot of the items, so we decided to get the breakfast pizza, breakfast croissant sandwich, chocolate croissant and the cinnamon roll. We loved trying a little bit of each one. We cannot wait to come back, especially for the breakfast pizza. My husband said it is some of the best breakfast pizza he has ever had.
