Not what it used to be, bread in display turned upside down and stale, salads downsized to size of side salad. Used to get a beautiful fresh decent size salad but now you get a small pitiful excuse of a side salad for almost $15. Left out toppings and had attidtude when pointed out. Only exception is their desserts which still hold up. Owner please take notice and don’t mark prices to California prices when we’re in small town Rockford.

Good food but quite slow at this location. I wish I'd known it was cafe style (order at the counter) because I'd have gone to the E State location instead.

I ordered the Margherita pizza to go. They put it in a plastic to go container so by the time I got home (20 min), it was a soggy mess. I am very disappointed. I also put down for curbside delivery, and I checked in, waited for 10 minutes, and no one came out. I called the store and the girl said the printer must be out of paper and that she would bring my food out but it would be a little bit because she was the only one working the registers. Needless to say, I walked in and picked up my own order.

We've had mediocre service and food the last three times we've eaten there. We are done with Mary's Market. They were great for so many years. No so any more.

Multi grain bread was nice, enjoyed the potato salad but did not enjoy the six times vomiting and everything else that comes with E. coli from their sprouts on the veggie sandwich. Really, really unfortunate- missed work and lost four pounds- trying to regain my strength. Thanks for nothing.

Waaaayyy too overpriced for what you get. And they can't even get the order correct. Don't waste your money.

After leaving our car at the dealership for an oil change we decided to stop by Mary’s Market to grab coffee and a quick breakfast. I truly was not expecting our breakfast to be this delicious! I ordered the avocado power skillet and my bf ordered the Southwestern Omelette, these were SO good! I was expecting our breakfast to be drenched in oil and butter just like the typical American breakfast joint. I couldn’t be more wrong. It was all egg whites, and minimal oil to nothing. Even the crepe was almost oil free. Our food was made from scratch, fresh and tasty. They also have an area where they have a variety of toppings, from ketchup to Cholula. The atmosphere was so bright and calm, we enjoyed our breakfast so much, sitting by the big windows with all the natural light and soft music in the background.Overall I highly recommend Mary’s Market to anyone looking for a delicious yet healthy breakfast. We will be back soon! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Vegetarian options: There are plenty of vegetarian options and lots that you can modify or substitute.Parking: Accessible parking and many spots to choose from.

I love all the food at all the Mary's and the bbq salad here was great along with the tuna melt. But this one was really dirty, food all over the floor and dirty tables and no napkins to be found, and it's ridiculous how slow the service is. Waited over 35 minutes one time for food. You can't go here on your lunch break and expect to get back in time

I was visiting the Rockford area and stopped in at Mary's Market Cafe & Bakery unplanned. I bought a vegan raspberry bar, thinking it looked pretty good. Turned out the raspberry bar was delicious! I subsequently decided to stop in for a light dinner the next two evenings. My create-your-own sandwiches were delicious, with fresh bread, and very generous portions of tuna! The triple berry salad was also very good, with fresh greens, berries, and a delicious poppyseed dressing! The corn and black bean salad was also a win! As far as desserts, the chocolate chunk cookie I tried was decent, as was the pumpkin pie square (though it was far too rich due to the frosting). The vegan raspberry square was definitely the winner among the desserts (I treated myself to another). As far as coffee, I only tried the decaf. But, it was excellent! The atmosphere here is quite nice, as far as coffee houses go. And there's plenty of seating. Even though one orders at the counter, like fast food, the staff clean off the dishes and waste from the tables. I imagine this might be why there were some negative reviews. If it's busy, it might be difficult to get to clearing all the tables in a timely fashion. Perhaps adding dish bins near the garbage cans would be a good idea? If customers cleared their own plates, then the staff would only need to wipe down tables, which could be a time saver. Speaking of the staff, they were all very friendly and helpful. As far as prices, I thought a few items may have been a bit overpriced. But, it was mostly a good value, especially the Market Sampler deal. Thumbs-up to Mary's Market Cafe & Bakery!
