Quiet, folksy place with good food. My wife and I both had fried chicken. It was outstanding. Meat was moist, and the skin was lightly battered and crispy. Service was decent. Slow but friendly. Overall, it was a very good experience. We’ll be going back.

Not from Walla Walla, but drove from south of Joliet! We camp in Amboy and for years have see the Mr C’s TV commercials. Today we decided to make the journey to Rockford. Well worth the time and the fuel. Great Patty Melt, onion rings and No Bread Fred!! Service was terrific. Outstanding coffee! Zero disappointments. Rumor has it we need to try the fried chicken … we will be back!!
