Very disappointing experience. A side of coleslaw should not be LITERALLY one and a half bites. $19 for 3 Gordon’s fish fillets and 4 potato wedges. Server couldn’t even tell you what 3 beers were on tap other than to say “a dark one, a regular one, and an amber one.” Took forever to get anything even though we were the only other table in there. It’s in the basement of a hotel. Just a generally terrible experience.

my family and I were going to a show in Rockford, and we couldn't find a restaurant that was available on short notice. Then we found the Tower! We weren't certain about it because of the lower reviews, but honestly I have nothing but praise to give to this establishment!! The burgers were delicious, my wife loved the pasta, and my dad was delighted by the chicken sandwich! The waitress was incredibly impressionable and kind, and the atmosphere was super warm and stylish! I had the BEST whiskey cocktail I've ever had- the apple orchard whiskey (still trying to find that recipe). The ONLY negative I have is the small menu - I would love more of these delicious meals! All in all, a fantastic time!!!

Great food! The atmosphere was good. We would have loved a river view but was happy with the quiet setting. As the night went on, it got very busy, and the noise echoed a lot. The craft beer selection was minimal at best, but the habanero mule was on fire! I was disappointed to find that they did not use Rockford Roasting Company's coffee for their espresso martini. The service was very slow. Overall, we enjoyed our visit, would go again, but would not add it to my "must go to" list.

I was excited to try The Tower Kitchen & Bar after being such a big fan of The Top, appropriately located on the vertically opposite end of the building. The ambiance and atmosphere of The Tower was pretty nice--it's located a floor below the lobby floor which gives it a rather underground feeling. Similar to the other restaurant, there are big windows to look out (although the view isn't as nice as upstairs!) The big highlight here was the staff and bar. The service from our waiter was prompt and friendly, and the drinks that the bar was bringing out were pretty good! The food could definitely use an overhaul though. It's not that the food was "bad" per se, but for the prices that they are charging & for the solid delivery that is going on upstairs, they could definitely do better downstairs. The flatbread that we got frankly did not taste fresh and was possibly reheated, and the steak & sides were a disappointment--bland, chewy and not cooked as requested. Not an impressive entre.

Terrible terrible service. It was not full we waited over an hour for our food. I spoke to the hostess who informed me that everyone was waiting. How is that ok?

We are locals and decided to try eating at the restaurant here. There seem to be two eateries here - one at the top of the building and one on the lower level. Some other guests told us that the top floor is just appetizers and drinks, where the lower level has dinners. So, we went to the lower level. For some reason the staff here doesn't seem to smile much. The person at the front counter got us seated, but wasn't particularly friendly. Our server took our drink and dinner orders and stopped by to check on us a few times but also was not very pleasant. To be clear, no one was unpleasant to us but I'm a pretty outgoing person and I had an impossible time getting anyone to be friendly. Now, for the food. The special tonight was BBQ ribs. I'm not sure what type of ribs they were but they were huge and almost all bone. I really had to work hard to find any meat and the meat that I did find was a very, very tough. The ribs came with fries, potato salad, coleslaw, and a roll. All of the food, to me, tasted like pretty run of the mill buffet food, although this was not a buffet.I guess to say something positive, the drinks were pretty good.

Food is usually good. Ordered a salmon poke bowl. Was told they were out of rice, told them to substitute quinoa. I received a raw scoop of tuna for the “salmon”. It was disgusting and should have never left their kitchen. Not a good sign.

The views are great, the drinks were good, the food was meh. The pretzel with beer cheese was extremely salty and the cheese was not stirred after they heated it so it was separated. The chicken wings were so rubbery they were inedible. The peppers with buratta was bland and the peppers were not cooked. Quite disappointing. Definitely not an urban hip spot, too stuck on OWPs when they have the potential to really make this place a booming spot.

The tower has a very limited overpriced menu. The atmosphere offered a nice change. They have a watermelon moonshine slushie that is to die for!

Stopped by in the morning for a few drinks before heading home after our stay at the hotel. The bartender was very nice and attentive. My wife ordered a bloody Mary and I a brandy old fashion. The drinks were yummy and competitively priced with other bars in the area.
