Loved visiting this winery. The wine, food, atmosphere and staff were all fantastic. Favorite Dry Red: Pinot Noir, Favorite Semi-Sweet White - Vignoles. Will definitely stop again when in the area.
Delightful little winery in rural Pike County, IL. Who knew! We visit lots of wineries and it is hard to find good, dry wines in the Midwest. Hopewell has mastered it! Their Cab, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay are good! In addition, they have lots of very good semi-sweet and sweet wines. The peach is delicious. It is listed as a "sweet" wine, but has a hint of pleasant tartness that for me, would rank it as a semi-sweet. Delicious peach aroma! This was the second time visiting Hopewell Winery and we were once again very pleased with our visit. We were able to sample several wines and enjoyed some of their homemade cider slush. Definitely a winery you should visit if your in the area or even if you want to venture out for a day trip like we did.
