Our Friday nite try out a new place ,Someone in our group thought a bar & grill would have great food & be inexpensive. So we tried Poison Ivy in Roscoe Il. What a mistake, I guess read reviews first. They were short handed , cooks were maybe 1. We were only allowed hamburgers & fish. We should have just got up and left. But we thought we'd give it a try. My shrimp were over cooked, It was very very expensive for a Bar & Grill . More than Rascal's bar & grill. At least soup is included with their sandwiches . We have scratched Poison Ivy from our go back again. Very Very Dissappointed for a first time try . But on a good note inside was very clean nicely decorated. But food no go and Expensive .

We came on a Friday around 6pm- definitely not busy with plenty of tables available. Atmosphere very nice n clean- but service could use much improvement. We waited for salt n ranch dressing, waited for refill on soda and waited for them to pick up check n money. Servers were short n quick- took your order n left. Left check and just left- no thank you or come again....and again it was not busy!!Food: so-so. Coleslaw was very soupy. Rolls were dry. We were told that they were only serving burgers n fish fries. We tried it but most likely not again. It's a no thank you from us

There was only 2 people working at the bar and on the serving floor but they were phenomenal and made it work! Great place to go for a drink, to listen to some live music, or a meal. Definitely would recommend Poison Ivy Pub & will forsure be back.

Don't plan an event there, they will be understaffed, no cook, not prepared(though we made plans a couple months in advance)My 1 star food rating is simply because they forgot to cook mine.This was in August 2023 for my mother's 90th birthday.Very sad representation of a business.Will not visit again... go to The Fire House. Fantastic food and great variety of beer/cocktails. The service was stellar (friendly and accommodating server) and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. Such a quant and cute little place. We stumbled upon this place and I highly recommend it!

SMASH BURGERS !!! Really good!!! Stopped in after my grandsons basketball game. Service was good and Steve [owner] greeted us and checked on us. Thank you for that Steve and we will be back. I'll be ordering another one of those burgers!!!!!

I enjoyed a prosciutto with grilled peaches sandwich but was surprised at the up charge for standard fries with the meal. Will read more carefully next time. I've been a fan of this place for years.
