Pros: Nice decoration and modern lock. Looks like a newly built restaurant.Cons: The food did not taste well. It was below average food and the price was really expensive. I spent $40 just for two people lunch and felt like crap when I was leaving the restaurant I saw the Taco Bell was right across the street. I should’ve gone there and saved 75% of the money, the restaurant looks nice but it does not live up to the hype. Also, the staff was not real friendly. Every time you asked them a question or asked for something they give you a feeling of your bothering them I would not return again.

They screwed up my order. I asked for them to replace my rice too now that I got all the way home and my tacos were made incorrectly. They said no. I’m so sick of getting bad service no matter where I go. Cilantro is like every other poorly ran establishment.

went here ordered a burrito belly bowl was asked if I wanted sauce I said yes being that the sauces are so small I asked for 4 the lady told me i have to pay for 2 which didn't make sense to me especially being that you have it in your lobby for your dine in customer to take freely she charged me but the guy in front of me ordered the same thing and asked for 4 sauces she gave it to him with no problem how do u give it to one customer but the next customer need to pay..

I like it here. Generous portions, delicious food, fast services, and clean restaurant. What else could you ask for?

Came here based on the reviews since it's near my hotel. Taco is meh. Did not come back during my stay in Chicago.

I ordered here a couple months ago and got Carne nachos. They tasted great or so I thought maybe with the toppings it masked the taste because today I ordered a taco dinner, and all of the food was bland from the beans to the carne to the chicken! now I’m from California and I am a strong believer that nobody makes Mexican food like California but everything was bland like no flavor, at all unless you use one of the sauces. I also ordered on Uber Eats and they had an offer. Buy one plate get a plate for free, but they only sent me one plate and Uber eats refused to credit me because technically it was free, but I wouldn’t have ordered that item if it wasn’t a two for one, so overall, I would probably not ever go back to this establishment. I’m very disappointed .

Coming from California my expectations for finding decent Mexican food were low. Coming from a chain, even a regional one, my expectations were even lower. I was honestly surprised, this is legit Mexican food.My fiance picked up a sampling for all of us. My lingua taco was very good, as was the chile relleno burrito. The steak in her taco salad was highly seasoned yet delicious. Her chicken taco was good, too. Everything was fresh and well done. You can't get any toppings like avocado or sour cream on the side. It's either on the food or you don't get it. Odd policy.Good prices, but the prices shown are for cash transactions. If you use a card it's an extra three-something percent added to your bill. That's really tacky, and borderline deceptive. I understand wanting to recoup transaction fees, but that's just the price for doing business. They do call it a discount for paying cash, but the prices shown are for cash so that isn't a discount. I can't give five stars to any place that tries to nickel and dime you like that. So, 4.5 stars for the food, 4 for the value, one star for the toppings not being offered on the side, and one star for the credit card fee as presented. That's 3.5 stars total, rounded up.

The food is so delicious there but the people are the register are so rude. We've been there multiple times and we noticed they are nice and all smiles with white customers but when we get to the register to order it's like a bother to deal with us non-white people. Unkind and as if they don't even want to deal with us. I live 10 minutes away and I'd rather drive to the locations in Melrose Park than have to deal with a bad attitude toward people who look like them.

Prices are crazy now, $21 for taco dinner and drink plus the cashier tried talking behind our backs and making fun of us for how we ordered horchata. Just save yourself the time and $$ and go to el burrito parilla. Lower prices plus you get complimentary chips/salsa and unlimited refills on horchata/agua Fresca.
