This restaurant is similar to Panda Express. The menu includes chicken and beef options with rice, veggies and noodles. The dining area is clean and not crowded. Portion sizes are generous.

Review: China Wok | Visit 2024-02-23 Made a visit to Woodfield Mall and wanted to save some money by eating at Panda Express as the food court can be pricey sometimes. To my utter shock and surprise, the restaurant was gone, and in its place was another Chinese fast-food place, China Wok. As we came all this way to get our Chinese one, I reviewed the menu and decided to go for it as it was not more expensive than Panda. The food was so fresh and super delicious. I had the Bourbon Chicken, Chicago Chicken (OMG - it melts in your mouth, perfect crunch, not soggy) and Black Pepper. I'm guessing the fountain drinks were refillable as there was not a sign by the machine, nor did the worker tell us otherwise, but my friend mentioned she gave him the "side-eye" when he refilled his cup (haha). The restaurant was cozy and spacious. It does have an entrance from the parking lot (which is something they need to monitor as someone came in and made himself at home (pulled out his meal + soda can and ate his lunch ... the bare minimum could have been to buy at least a drink!) Two things they need to work on: the RICE -- not cooked all the way -- not soft and fluffy, kinda hard and forks, they are using those small plastic white forks that I despise, will have to remember to bring an emergency fork next time. As of this review, the worker (owner?) mentioned they open for 6 months, but traffic was slow. I did mention they should talk to the mall to see what could be done to help advertise or put a floor sign up to help guide people to the restaurant - did not sound like they wanted to rock-the-boat, but at least I tried to help. I would highly recommend if you're at the mall to eat here as this is as authentic Chinese you will find there as opposed to the food court (but I think they have a Chinese place there as well, but not as good as China Wok. Note: as this is becoming the norm, they charge a 3% fee for credit card use, but they do not tell you this at the register.

Pretty good for mall Chinese, and better than the Panda Express than was here before. The orange-flavored chicken was ok. Only the broccoli chicken is made with white meat, so if you're not a fan of dark meat, you'll be disappointed. They kept Panda Express's fountain drink machine, and as of now, drinks refills are free. The rest of the meal, though seemed expensive; there's a 3% surcharge for credit cards and a charge for the third item I asked for in a small separate container.

Workers are great but a few others and I have all gotten food poisoning from this place. Not sure how long the food sits out ready to be served by the time you get there with what seems to be little traffic coming in. Food is great which is the worst part. The portion sizes are very generous for the

I’m so glad we gave this place a try! They were offering samples and that’s something not many places do anymore so we really appreciated that! The chicken is a little on the well done crispy side but I love it this way. The low mein noodles are so good too. We will definitely be coming back!

So great. I’ve been wanting to try this place for awhile. The Chicago Chicken is crispy and has so much flavor and the chow mein is perfectly done. I can’t wait to come back!

I like Chinese food but not from this place. Out of all the Chinese food places today was the worst experience. The bourbon chicken, which is usually juicy and in the sauce, is hard, dry and just awful. Today’s chicken it is not fresh, it seems that it has been reheated several times. The orange chicken is not the best, but ok. And fried rice has so much oil that I have never tried such an oily one.

This is the worst place to eat. The fried rice wasn't cooked thoroughly and was drenched in oil. They refused to give me a cup for water, insisted I pay for bottled water. The quality of bourbon chicken was bad. never gave me a cookie, I had to ask for one. terrible experience

I thought this place was the bottom of the barrel for fast Chinese food after having a meal here. This place makes Panda Express looks good. Quality- the noodles were very oily. Each bite of noodle was dripping oil. The noodle was over cooked and I couldn't really taste much besides oil. The meat was really chewy. It took a while to chew through it. Quantity- you get a lot less for the amount you pay compared to panda and other similar places. This was 12 bucks. The quality is also inferior. Atmosphere- the tables are dirty. I had to wipe it down before eating. Service- no comment here. Just check out with food and eat. Nothing special
