The main reason I gave a 3 (wish I could give a 3.5) is because the tip was charged mandatory with the food before the check was given to me. The owner himself served me, which I was more than willing to tip, on my own turn, after paying for my food. It’s a principle thing. The food itself was not bad, but not to any extraordinary. It was a try, I will not go back again.

Edit to the previous post- have been waiting outside for an hour for pickup order, and still not ready. Reduced 2 stars just for that.We ordered hot garlic tofu, veg fried rice and veg hakka noodles. The taste was very good. The noodles used in noodles were fettuccine pasta, which was weird to look at. Also, I would say a little expensive for the portions.

The food and customer service are good. The orange chicken dinner with fried rice is great! I would suggest taking out the meal. The restaurant is a little dated and quite depressing. I don't think they get alot of dine in customers with the amount of dust I seen. It begs the question if your front of restaurant is dirty...what's going on in back?? Still good food lol!! I would suggest this place over another chines food place around schaumburg or hoffman. ENJOY!!!!
Food tastes good, but watch out for cockroaches. Been here twice and both times the table next to us had a cockroach in their food. Service is also quite slow

Have been going to Hakka Wok for at least 15 years now. Their lunch specials are definitely worth it! I love all their veggie dishes. So many options for vegetarians. Service can be slow or fast depending on the day and time. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is very family style and family oriented. Fish tank inside is a great addition!

This place definitely deserves 5 stars for food and wonderful veg options. However, Atmosphere/Ambience, Cleanliness, Smell, and Decor definitely needs some improvements & adjustments. Maybe in summer I suggest outdoors sitting. I understand restaurants is shorthanded staff and need support. Other than that I highly recommend this restaurant. Food-wise, Hakka Wok is sooo much better than bamboo garden.Vegetarian options: There are tons of good Vegetarian & Vegan options.

I tried this place for the first time and I ordered Hakka noodles with vegetables. And no veggies!!! Than I ordered momos which I wanted to try. Guess what, I got dumplings. Little pricey for fast food plus you eat there is 18% gratuity. I’m sorry but I was not happy and will not return again.

I was a big fan, and now it has gone downhill. It cost us $85 (with tips) for lunch specials order for 4 people. They are still charging COVID-ERA 18% surcharge for “Dine-in”. That is highway robbery and nobody can do anything about it. The food was ok - the era has come to end this relationship.

I've only ordered to go delivered to me, but this is my new favorite Chinese food place. Omg I'm sweating from the cheeks at the spice. The endorphin rush is amazing!! Definitely will order again!!!
