We were there on someone’s recommendation of karahi. We ordered beef seekh kabab, goat karahi, beef samosa and three naan. Samosas were good and seekh kabab were good. Goat karahi came and we were about to take some in our plate and there was a long piece of hair in karahi. We sent it back and they said they will make new one. Few mins later the server brought the karahi and it was CHICKEN karahi and I told her it’s chicken not goat as we had originally ordered. By that time I was so done with there service I said nvm we will just eat this. And then she just went inside the kitchen and I can hear her saying to the chef we gave them wrong karahi.Nor the owner, or the manager or the same server came out to say that they’re sorry for messing our order 2 times. We couldn’t eat the Karahi as it was very spicy. We just packed and went to pay the bill. Even then she didn’t say that sorry for what happened. So after paying the bill I did go to the counter to tell them that it’s common courtesy to acknowledge your mistake and Atleast say sorry for how we were served tonight. Not going back at all.Gave two stars for food because samosas were good.Restaurant was dirty. When we entered there were two tables dirty with dishes and napkins and cups all over. Our table was also dirty and I cleaned it with napkin. The bill was $62 it was NOT CHEAP!

This was my first time at this place and I went there on a friend’s recommendation. As a tourist in this area I have been checking multiple restaurants and didn’t find a really good biryani so I decided to try here. To my surprise this was one of the best (or May be the best) biryani I have had in the last few years at any restaurant. From color and look to the smell and eventually taste, everything was perfect. For those of you who are new to Pakistani style biryani, you might find it a bit oily but the taste was spot on. And finally doodh patti chai was icing on the cake!

This is one of the best yet under rated Pakistani restaurant in Chicago. I have been to many states but their Biryani is by far the best biryani I have had in USA. Also their paratha and BBq is very good. I thought bundu khans bbq was slightly better but my entire family thinks Kolachis bbq is better. Only criticism is portions especially for biryani are smaller for the price.Overall I would give it 5 stars.

Had ordered Mutton Biryani, Just to find it only had one piece of Bone in it. No mutton whatsoever. Also the tandoori chicken tikka was half cooked. Wouldn’t go next time!

Very much enjoyed our dinner at Kolachi. The biryani was probably the best I've had in all of Chicago and the service by Noor just made the whole experience that much better.

The chai , the nihari, parathas were not as oily , and the naans were so so soft . I recommend this restaurant ?? came back the next day .

We got nihari it was ok. I had better. Seekh kabob was $15 for only 3.5 pieces in the box about the size of fingers, and we got aloo qeema with bare any aloo in it. All this for $62 and some change including 5 naans. Quantity of food was less for the value. Not worth it.

Came here on a regular weekday night. Apparently their menu had changed and they have not updated the website. Many dishes were removed. Ok fineOrdered fry kabab and were told they don’t have that either. Pizza was also not available. Almost half the dishes were not available. The waitress on the top was rude and unapologetic.Fine, too late to go anywhere else, ordered other items. Those turned out to be cold and unappetizing. None of the burgers were good.Ambiance was fine but the bathroom was out of toilet paper, and soap. What am I supposed to do then?Anyways, overall a terrible experience and WILL NOT RECOMMEND to anyone

The restaurant is clean. Service was friendly. Prices are reasonable. There was a troublesome fly. It probably just came in with a customer. Food was fresh and hot which is probably why it took a little longer than expected. I ordered the vegetable samosa. So good! The oil in the fryer must have been fresh. The dough was so flavorful and the spices were spot on for this snack. I will definitely be back even though it is out of my way from my regular commute.

Iftaar at Kolachi was the best experience in the Chicago area. The food was fresh and hot and nothing ran it out. Iftaar menu was very delicious with samosas, two kinds of pakoras, dahi vadaa and halwa puri. Dinner included Biryani, Nihari, chicken boti, chicken qorma, haleem and frontier chicken. All of this and very reasonably priced at 24/person.

Dont come, this place is a joke. The food is NOT cooked properly, and it doesn't have any taste. Please, people, don't waste your money.

Not real Indian food. The matar paneer was without any matar in it. The malai kofta was mainly cornstarch. Poor service. Not going there again.
