An absolute blast as an adult, and the food was great. Very fun with a group of adult friends. The wait staff are very friendly, humorous and play the part. The atmosphere creates a safe and welcoming feeling with enough sass that adults can enjoy and partake while, I imagine kids too would have an absolutely fantastic time.Food was very good.Dietary restrictions: They do offer options for dietary restrictions.

Great atmosphere, great food, loved the entertainment. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is they are VERY pricey and the seating is super cramped and uncomfortable.

Medieval Times outside of Chicago was a great choice for celebrating my son's 8th birthday this past weekend. Here's an overview of our experience:We arrived 10 minutes after the doors opened, but there was already a line. Fortunately, it moved quickly, so we didn't have to wait long. However, there was a slight hiccup at the check-in desk; we didn't receive the necessary information for the knighting ceremony before the tournament. It was a relief to find that the knighting ceremony area had a list of prepaid guests, so we didn't need the white slip to get my son knighted. The bar was quite expensive. We spent $180 on five drinks, but at least the kids were thrilled with the light-up glasses that came with the drinks and took them home as souvenirs. The show itself was fantastic, full of excitement and energy. Even though our knight didn’t win, the whole experience was entertaining and well worth it. The food was better than expected, though it was still subpar. A helpful neighboring group gave us a heads-up about the lack of seasoning and the fact that we had to eat with our hands, which helped us adjust our expectations. The garlic bread was a disappointment—it lacked garlic flavor but made for a decent crunchy addition to the tomato soup when dipped in. Despite not being a fan of tomato soup, I ended up having two bowls since my son didn't want his. I might even consider claiming to be vegetarian next time to get some extra soup!Overall, it was a memorable experience for the whole family. Medieval Times is a unique and enjoyable way to step back in time and have some fun.Parking: Large free parking lot attached to buildingKid-friendliness: Kids will absolutely love this place.

The food and show were both great but they seem to keep the servers so busy that you can't get any actual service, just food thrown on your plate as they fly by.
