Spent a weekend here for a wedding at their convention center. Nice hotel, with clean rooms and pretty decor. However, I’m giving only 4 stars for this hotel because there is no bell service and very limited number of luggage carts available upon check-in and check-out. For being a convention center that holds events for a large number of people at a time, you’d expect guests coming in with good amount of luggage. We were repeatedly told it’s a self-service hotel and only have about 10 carts for the many rooms and guests this hotel can accommodate. May be increase the number of carts, so they’re readily available and guests are not inconvenienced to go back downstairs to the valet area to return carts after long hours of travel?

I’ll start by saying this property is beautiful, the rooms are clean and well kept (the reason for 2 stars instead of 1). My only issue is that the pool is not heated as listed as an amenity. We spoke with the front desk as well as a manager named Alexis who informed us that we were the first guests who informed them that the pool was cold and that they would call an engineer to have a look at it. We spoke with another family who stated that they had also complained and got the same response from staff. So one can only assume that they are trained to act like they are unaware that the pool isn’t being heated properly and tell guests that it’s the first time they’re hearing this complaint. Needless to say, we checked the pool this morning and it was still freezing. They do have an extremely small hot tub but since all of the families were complaining that they pool was too cold they moved over to the hot tub (makes sense, right). Due to Covid my family and I did not feel comfortable to crowd in a hot tub with unmasked strangers. The hotel manager was in no way accommodating of this issue and it is so disappointing. There are better hotels in Schaumburg and if you’re looking forward to a working pool that isn’t freezing don’t stay here.

Our stay was for a dance competition being held at the convention center. The set up with the hotel being connected was perfect. The hotel is beautiful, rooms clean, and pool was very nice. The hotel bar served a decent menu and the food was good. Overall, we had a really great stay. The things that weren't great were the staff at the front desk. The woman checking us in seemed annoyed that I wanted to ask any questions. Basic information about how to get to our room, where to park, where the pool was etc. obviously annoyed her. We were there checking in early enough that there wasn't a line of other new guests. I understand that hotels aren't running at full capacity right now in IL because of COVID, but we were there for over a week and not once did anyone check in and ask if we needed any replenishment of towels, toilet paper, emptying of garbage etc. You had to go to the front desk and request supplies. It wasn't a huge inconvenience but the type of service I would expect to be standard in any hotel. It was an overall nice stay, they just need to revisit some customer service skills as things begin to return to normal post COVID.

Easy check in super friendly staff here from front desk to lobby bar to executive lounge! Super comfortable and quiet upgrade room, hooray for Bonvoy program! Easy ride from O'Hare, close to nice restaurants and shopping. Super excited they use real silverware and plates in the lounge, nice salt water pool for early morning laps, big work out room. The facilities and grounds are huge and spotless, great area for early morning walk around the ponds. Super job team Renaissance Schaumburg!

Nice hotel near the highway and not far from O'Hare. Clean and modern lobby, though check in is a bit of a walk and up one level from the front entrance. Staff was friendly and check in was quick. Elevators were also fast and hallway decor was clean, modern and well lit. Room with king bed and small sofa was clean but a little tight on space. Plenty of outlets for charging and a mini fridge to keep drinks cool. Bathroom was small but clean. Had a TV in the bathroom mirror and a scale. There is an in room safe and iron and ample lighting. No room service due to covid-19.

This hotel is very clean & quiet. The rooms are a nice size w/ modern decor. The staff is also friendly & efficient. A couple began arguing in the room next door to us but I do believe that’s out of the control of the hotel. Nice stay!

My fiance and I were just looking for a weekend getaway. We found a good rate on Priceline and we got the Renaissance. The hotel was pretty clean and service was friendly. The room was not comfortable at all. The bed was on a slant with the head lower than the foot. The mattress was beyond uncomfortable. And the pillows were horrible. I left after two nights feeling unrested, the exact opposite of what I was looking for. The toilet worked intermittently. We called for service because the toilet handle was disconnected and wouldn't flush. Maintenance was there within minutes and seemed to fix it until we flushed it again and then toilet ran. The whole weekend was just a cycle of not flushing and toilet running. The pool was beautiful and clean but much colder than you'd think. Colder than the ambient air in the pool are which was warm. Overall, it's a nice place that needs work. Won't be staying here again until upgraded. Disappointing as the past two Marriott branded hotels we've been to have been excellent. One more thing...watch out for wildlife...this coyote seemed indifferent to cars and the fact that it was still light out.

Hotel is beautiful however the grounds keeping needs to be upgraded a bit. Arrived to parking lots unplowed full of snow, ice and sidewalks icy leading up to the hotel. Parking lot is not exactly right next to the front door so a bit of a walk on ice and in snow. I understand COVID has created issues but this hotel had no food options other than gas station chips, soda etc. Was disappointed no hot food options were available or even a bar open for a social distance drink. Appeared to be a ghost hotel and it was a Saturday night. Room was comfortable and clean. Probably would stay again come warmer months and after things start to reopen.

I stayed here for a conference at the convention center attached to the hotel. The hotel was very nice. The rooms were large, the gym was adequate, and the internet was fast. I got an upper floor, which I appreciate. The lines were extremely long at the coffee shops and restaurants, so I never ate at the hotel.

This hotel was utterly unsafe. Guests walking around with no masks. Employees walking around with masks tucked under their chins. The pool area was filthy. My bathroom was obviously cleaned in a hurry - soap scum and someone else’s long hair still found in places. There was a large wedding. The head of the camera crew refused to wear a mask. Half of the guests were also unmasked. Room service is unavailable but signs point guests to it all the time! Remove the signs for a few weeks! Just a terrible experience and I’ll never be back to this Covid hotspot in the making.

Very good for a hotel restaurant!I am always skeptical of hotel restaurants, however this one surprised me a bit! I had your classic bread plate as a starter with cheese crisps on it as well (nice touch, I mean, who doesn’t like cheese?) For my following course I had the Lobster Bisque soup which was very different in terms of presentation. They had given me a bowl with the lobster and garnishes in it already and then poured the broth in separately. The bisque was a bit too salty for my liking, but still had great overall flavor. The lobster was cooked very well. For my main course I had the medium rare skirt steak, and for this they did a great job. Cooked to a perfect rare/medium rare, however the salt levels were also a bit higher on this one as well, and believe me, I love salty foods as much as the next person, but there were a few moments that I visibly cringed while eating. With exception of those few bites, this was an overall great steak.Atmosphere was very nice, and price matched the atmosphere. Certainly worth a bit of a higher spend $20-$30 plate.Worth going to, especially if you’re already staying at the hotel.

This spot is my favorite. I visit a lot of restaurants but here I keep coming back again and again. The crew is very welcoming and the cuisine they serve is so tasty. I never decline to have a nice dinner in this place. Highly recommended.
