It used to be the best Chinese restaurant. We came here after 5 years and found it to be the worst now. Quality of food, service, atmosphere everything was bad. Never going back there again.

Well yu's mandarin it's been a while but this is my go too Chinese place when I am in town. Place is still fantastic same inside and out for a long time still looks nice. Let's get to service came in a little later for lunch very attentive and quick service. Pricing on food is still very reasonable about 11 to 12 dollars a person. Food wise I ordered the garlic chicken fantastic flavor comes with fried rice, egg roll and fried wonton good portion for lunch. The person I was with got the Mongolian beef he enjoyed also. The lunch also comes with soup egg drop or hot sour both great. This place still in my top for Chinese you can't go wrong. Will be back soon.

Yu's Mandarin has been a staple Chinese restaurant in the northern Chicagoland suburb area for many years. While they have gone through various owner/chef changes, which have resulted in ups and downs (in terms of the taste) over the years, I was surprised to find that after a recent visit to the restaurant that their noodle soup (jjampong) was still pretty decent. After all, the restaurant originally became well-known for its hand-pulled noodles (there even used to be noodle shows on the weekends long ago...), so it's good that the noodles they use still are freshly made (with a nice chew to them), along with a flavorful, spicy broth filled with sauteed vegetables and seafood. Their service is not that great though...the server we had didn't appear to be all that enthused to be working there, and was sort of abrupt in his responses to our questions/requests. Business isn't as good as it used to be (many years ago, you would see lines/crowds in the front lobby waiting to get a table for lunch, especially on the weekends), but now on a Sunday during lunch hour, a lot of tables are empty. Will think about coming back to try some of the other dishes on the menu - hopefully we won't be disappointed then.

We ordered three dishes.***Eight Treasure Delight: This dish is my favorite, and I've tried it at many Chinese restaurants. However, the version I had at Yu's that day was the worst I've ever had. It's supposed to contain various types of treasure seafood, but shrimp made up 80% of it. There were only two tiny sea cucumbers, two tiny scallops, and two pieces of fishcake balls. Having cheap fishcakes in this dish is unacceptable.***Overall, there was a significant effort to cut costs. Cheap ingredients were used; they opted for cheap fishcakes instead of more expensive ones, resulting in a noticeable decline in the quality and taste of the food.***Cheap plastic plates and cups: The two expensive dishes were served on porcelain plates, and the rest were served on plastic-like melamine. The very hot noodle soup was served in plastic bowls. Even the cups for hot water were plastic, and the bowls for hot rice felt like rubber.***Poor service: Despite being a large restaurant, there were few waitstaff, and my waitress only brought the paper napkin and radish I requested when we were almost finished eating, despite asking twice.***Using such plastic tableware for hot food releases EDC due to environmental hormones that can cause cancer: cheap ingredients, tableware, and poor service. I will never go to this restaurant again.

Good food, Terrible service, I understand the place gets busy, but sat through my whole dinner not getting water refilled once, waitress also walked away in the middle of taking our order, Short Asian lady with short black bob hairstyle. The bus boy working actually helped our table out more, he brought us more napkin, more silverware. I gave him a few dollars from what I was planning on tipping the waitress since he did more work for us than her. Hopefully management does something about that employee, I got my water refilled after I paid the bill. I saw her multiple times throughout the night walking through with nothing in her hands, another random table actually pointed over at us because they noticed we were trying to get our servers attention. 0 stars for service! I do not recommend dining in.

Yu's has been a go to for authentic Chinese food. Great tasting food, great service. Went during a very busy day, thought it was going to be a long wait but ended up waiting about 10-15 mins for a table. Once seated, our waitress was really good at getting out orders and everything came out within 15 minutes from ordering. Always love visiting this place for dinner. The Mongolian Beef is really good.

The food is amazing. Sadly, the service is awful. We usually order takeout, but today we decided to dine in. The service was bad as always, so we decided to leave just a $5 tip. The server had the nerve to ask for more tip because it wasn't 15% of the order. We added $2 more dollars, and she kept complaining. Definitely not dining in anymore.

Great food. We had the crispy duck - wonderfully crispy and cooked perfectly. Also ordered the Deng Xiao Ping pork. Apparently the former Chairman likes things spicy, and so do I, but this dish just did not hit well (too vinegary?) its hard to say. The restaurant is clean, light and bright. The service is brusque and efficient - as you would expect from the purpose-driven Chinese. The dishes come out on a robot dish runner- which is kool and kitschy - just the right amount of AI - for now. Makes me wonder if ordering on your tablet is next. The price came in a lil high - $49 for lunch for two with water - but that is everything now
