This place is very cozy. Nice little sit down diner with all day breakfast. The staff was kind and the service was fast. I would totally recommend going and checking this place out!I had the breakfast horseshoe with an extra side of hash browns. Portions were large and well worth the money (which if I may add is cheaper than some places around).

HAIR IN OMELETTE--- GROSS!!!!!The owner/manager came over and apologized and said I took that meal off the bill. I said the entire bill should be thrown out...our table (husband and father in law) were grossed out too. Terrible, just terrible. I had to go outside and vomit ?

When the new owner took over it was a bit rocky with service and quality of food but we gave it time and the place eventually turned out great! I always order the walleye and the only concern i have is at times it's soggy when it's supposed to be crispy.
Wife and I make it there every weekend. Food is good, as well as good portions. Owner is the best and very friendly. If you're close and need good food? Stop in, you won't be disappointed!
Lakeview is a fine little family diner. The food is excellent and the wait staff are friendly and helpful, especially with children. There is no view of Shelbyville Lake but there is a train that circles the tables and provides great fascination to little folks. Thanks.

I’m giving this restaurant a 1 star review for a specific reason (and not that there is no view of the lake). We were passing through yesterday on a cross country trip. We met friends there we had not seen in quite a while. We arrived at 7:15 pm and the restaurant closes at 9:00. We had 4 meals- total bill around $55 for the 4 of us. We wanted to fill our thermos with coffee before heading down the road. They offered to make a fresh pot and we were thrilled! Until we got the bill for that COFFEE which was TWELVE DOLLARS plus tax. We questioned why so much and they stated that it was at least 6 cups of coffee at $2 each. Had we sat there and drank that coffee, it would have been $4 (only 2 of us drank the coffee) and then free refills. What a shame. We didn’t even dirty any coffee cups! PS the food was ok.
