Service was good, all employees we encountered were really nice. The food was decent. I feel it is worth mentioning that a lot of the garnishes were old. The red onions on the ceviche were dried out as well as the lemons in the water and the limes for the civeche. Not a deal breaker, but a bit off-putting. We had the special today (Friday) which was Enchiladas de Mar (crab and shrimp in a flour tortilla with a sour cream sauce).

Food was ok but not the best I've had. I've never been served Fajitas with mini tortillas when the meat is cut much bigger. Meat was dry, no juices in the platter at all. Probably won't be coming back here ?

had lunch there yesterday. it was amazing. my grandfather was from Mexico and the food was like something he would have made. it was soo good.He raised me, and cooked Mexican food daily Their food tasted like homemade. it's my comfort food. sooooo good. if you like Mexican food try them. Shirley C

This place is packed every Friday and Saturday night. We wish we could call ahead for seating, but they do have a waiting area. Food is amazing, and everyone raves about the queso cheese dip. It has a slight kick to it, and it's great to dip the free chips they give you, or in my case, I like to drizzle it on my burrito. The servers are great for dining in, they have a pickup window if you just want to call ahead and drive up, and we also catered with them for a private party at our home. They have a driver who delivers the food in a van. We frequent the Joliet area location, but I heard they also have one in Naperville by the Fox Valley Mall on Rt59.
For a Mexican food place I expected more flavor. Bell peppers in my fajita burrito were basically raw along with the onions. Steak had minimal flavor. For free table salsa and chips. The salsa for most would be a bit on the spicy chips seemed to be dumped out of a bag and put in a warmer. Service was nice a bit slow for refills but very friendly. Now for the price.. OUCH I've gotten more food from similar sized places for 12 to 1i percent less!!. Probsbly won't be a return customer

We live just a few miles away and had never been to Friacos. We went with our neighbors who've been there several times. We loved it. The food was excellent and the service was even better. We had a young man as our waiter and he was very attentive and friendly. He explained different items on the menu and was on point with the drinks and refills. Highly recommend that you visit next time you have the taste for Mexican food.
