The store has become more comfortable. Many products from the local farm of the new owners appeared on the shelves. Apples, eggs, honey, delicious sourdough bread and Ukrainian lard (salo) are just like home.
Great stop in Skokie for all of your Eastern European / Russian food needs. Great selection of smoked fish, soups to go and legit European deli meats. Very reasonable considering many of the deli's in the area gouge you. Not here. Not a huge place but very nice ladies running, very helpful, and plenty of what you need. They speak enough English to help you out but little enough to let know it is a legit EU deli. Great parking on the side of the building never hurts.
