First impressions: main dining room, ok. The bar area, completely awkward. And the dark creepy hall in between the bar and the dining, is out in the open for everyone to see- used as a storage along with kid items? Walked passed there to look for the restrooms. Saw the waitress pouring a margarita from a Jose Cuevo plastic premade bottle. The kind you buy at the grocery store for $12/15. Ugh. So I definitely was not ordering a cocktail. Now for the food. The salsa is also canned. The food is cold with very messing plating. The waitress looked lost and inexperienced.

This is the 1st time in several years that we decided to dine in; certainly since the change in ownership & the pandemic. We have carried out occasionally. The service by Jorge was great. The food was very good. We both had carne asada. The homemade sangria was flavorful & delicious. Since it was Sat. night, they also had live music.

We had a party today and they were able to accommodate my request and helped me with my catering order. Owner is really friendly and truly cares about her customers. Everyone at the event was pleased with the food and requested for more. 10/10 I highly recommend it here.

I loved the restaurant! The servers were so kind and helpful! The food was absolutely delicious, the decoration around the place is beautiful and it represents Traditional Mexican culture. The prices are affordable and overall it's an awesome place, I would definitely recommend it! ?

Wanted to like this place. The tortillas were hot (temp) - the rest of the food was cold. Had the chile relleno, Carne asada and chicken quesedilla plate. Sorry. Can't recommend.

Went with my sister and our friend and really enjoyed it. The waitress was so friendly and attentive that I thought she might be an owner - she isn't. The food is very fresh and homemade. I had the Chabela's Special and it was great. They should charge a little more and give you more steak though. My sister ordered steak tacos, which she really enjoyed. Our friend had the shrimp tacos. They both had enough leftovers to take home. Also, I majorily judge all mexican restaurants by the quality of their salsa. The three of us have difterent preferences when it comes to salsa but we all loved Chabela's salsa!! They don't give you a ton, probably because it's expensive to make. Tons of flavor and fresh ingredients. And they have horchata - always a plus! They told us that on Saturdays they have live music and/or kaoroke and said it's a ton of fun.

I was hoping for a better experience but unfortunately the new owners did not step it up and they seriously need to hire a GOOD CHEF. I ordered the Chabela's Favorite which was 1/2 carne asada, one chili cheese relleno, and one cheese enchiladas. I asked for medium rare, but it came more well done. The chili relleno was okay, and the enchiladas was disappointing. It wasn't even that hot, but just warm. If I wanted to spend the same amount of money, got to Zentl. If you want great Mexican food at an affordable price go to Supreme Burrito on Dodge. Sorry to disappoint those who were hoping it would be a good review.
