Sarra Grill is a great find for fresh middle eastern food. Fresh, large portions with very friendly and attentive service by Nadine. The fresh grouper was a huge portion and very flavorful. Lentil soup, baba ganoush, and a kabob plate were really good too. I'm looking forward to trying the falafel and vegetarian dishes. Casual setting for dining in, but carry out seems pretty popular too.

I'm not sure why this restaurant gets such high reviews. Although the woman who owns the establishment is wonderful, the food is bland and has very little flavor compared to other Mediterranean options near by. The homemade hummus and falafels are average, missing the spices that make this type of food so good.

Pretty good slightly above average Mediterranean food. Had lentil soup and it had a savory aftertaste better than most but not completely a standout. Also, they suggested their best dish as the catfish, and it was really good, alot to share, and worked out since my mom had just come back from months on end in the Philippines and beginning to start building her house there, AND it has a yoga room. So she was happy to eat some great food provided by Sarra

Automatically, love this place the minute I stepped in. The owners were eager to greet me. They are from Syria & Lebanon. Upon asking, the lady came out with soup for me! On the house!!!!!. I ordered take out. Catfish & combo 1. I’m real excited to eat this because Im waiting here writing this review DEVOURING the lentil soup.Service is immaculate.Everything 5 stars afterwards.Update: 40 mins later -Look at this cat fish y’all.This catfish is AMAZING.5+ stars.GIRRRLLLLLL.

Sarra is a great local business to stop at! Their owner is an amazing woman! She recognized my mom, who passed by the week before for a meal & offered my family complimentary soups! Their lentil soup is absolutely amazing. I had the Tikka beef entree & my family shared the Combination platter. The portions are large! I had 3 meals out of the tikka beef entree. My favorites: the chicken, shish kabob, and lentil soup.
Feeling something healthy tonight so I ordered the veggie bundle! I walked in 45 mins before close & didn't want to be any trouble, but the employees did not make me feel that way at all. It was all delicious. I loved the crunchiness of the falafel! The hummus was tasty along with the tabbouleh salad, I would order this again! Thank you for your kindness Nadine!

Casual and pleasant atmosphere, freshly prepared food, attentive server. Favorites were the lentil soup and the couscous. Grilled fish is tasty, just be aware it takes work to separate it from the bones and skin.

Nice little joint, feels family run, nice and clean, and delicious food. I got the combination plate with chicken, shish kebob, tikka (beef), rice, salad, and a lentil soup. All of the meat was tender and delicious. The lentil soup was excellently spiced! I've tried many places in the area and I think this is the best lentil soup I've had in Skokie. The service was excellent, very personable and helpful.

Stopped in to pick up a take out order while I was at the brewery next door and had a great experience. I had lentil soup and falafel, both of which were delicious. The prices were really good, under $15 for both including a tip, and the server was friendly and sincere. I'll definitely be back!
