Great staff, lots of windows, kid friendly, food truck ??, big outdoor space, good beer selection, 30 mins from downtown Chicago.

The service is very nice, I like the beer and setup, and it’s great that this is family friendly, BUT, parents allow their kids to get unruly and it’s obnoxious. This isn’t the staff’s fault, but kids running all over the place, grabbing your stuff off your table, while their parents are either a few feet away or across the room is obnoxious. I visited here twice and left both times because of the same reason. Yesterday, I actually watched someone come up to a kid and tell them they need to get out of equipment and the kid refused and their parents did nothing. Again, it’s great that parents have a place they can feel comfortable bringing their family, and I’ve been to other places like this, but at Sketchbook Skokie it’s repeatedly out of hand with parents who don’t care.

Good selection of own-brewed beers on tap. I’m not much of a beer drinker but they had plenty that I liked. I went on a super-cold Sunday night and there was still a bit of a crowd so I imagine it’s a popular place on more typical nights. The bad playing was a bit loud so if there is one playing when you go, I hope you like it!

Sketchbook Brewing Company is a local brewery that has 2 locations - one in Skokie and one in Evanston. They have been around since '14, and while providing space to enjoy various drinks on taps, they also host live music, various holiday events, and other social get-togethers. Plenty of space to relax, and the staff are friendly. Their outside patio is a 'Skokie Beautification Award Winner', and you can see the plaque on one of the pillars. Plenty of parking on the side. +local brewery +plenty of parking
This is awkward. Been coming here for years now, love the place but completely forgot to review it. Sketchbook is a great brewery and perfectly located in Skokie. Big indoor seating with a spacious outdoor seating. During the winters they have space heaters and fire pits. Not sure what else to say but to check them out. No matter your beer taste, they'll have something for you.

Mannie gets five stars too for putting up with my "is anything sweet?" Yeah beer is normally "sweet" yet he found something I loved. The vibe is good the prices are fabulous. Very patient staff since we stayed past closing time and the said nothing. And Mannie let me sample until I found the right beer. Great great GREAT
