Very authentic Mediterranean food with an Iraqi influence. I went with my friend from Iraq and he knew exactly what to order. (We ordered a lot so he could show me the menu) The ground beef kabobs were perfectly prepared and delicious. The beef shawarma was nicely charred and very good. I'm not a big fan of Baba Ghannoush but this one was very good. The hummus was fantastic too. I've had better falafel though. Some of the best Iraqi Style Beef Shawarma in the Area. Its a very community focused business. Quiet in there, every time I've stopped by. I have also tried their Beef Kafta/Kefta sandwiches.The Kafta itself was on point. Going earlier in the day is always better for sandwiches, as the bread is fresher. Iraqi style Beef shawarma tends to be a bit more saltier than the Lebanese, Syrian etc. style, so keep that in mind.Every time I am in Skokie, I try to get at least one Sandwich...read full review

I haven't tasted any food in my travels as memorable and delicious as Hassan's restaurant! Best in Chicagoland,-believe me!My boyfriend and I ordered the Lamb special and we like to order hummus and the yummy warm bread. A cozy date and our hostess/waitress was attentive and very kind! A really charming restaurant.
