I just moved to South Elgin, IL, from Virginia. When I visited about a month ago for the first time, I was quite excited seeing the 'Coffee Haus' sign as I was driving around in the new area. You'd assume that the place will serve a decent coffee, esp. Based on the reviews (which before when I visited were 4.5) and the name of the place. What a disappointment!I am a big coffee enthusiast, but I am quite forgiving to the new places until I find the place to my liking. Unfortunately, I cannot give even 2 stars for this place.Back to the point: I ordered 3 coffees - 2 cappuccinos with almond milk and 1 mocha.1) When ordering, I asked if one of the cappuchinos could be made dry. The young man looked at me with fear, shook his head with disapproval, and not answering backed up. That was okay, I understand it takes a skill to not burn the milk...2) It took 25 minutes to make 3 coffees. We were quite in a rush that day.3) The 'barista' who was making the coffee, made the huge steam cloud, and I almost recorded curious what was going on. Shortly after, we received the coffee, and I missed the chance to record the show.The coffees we received were burning hot. Thr barista clearly did not know how to steam the milk. There was barely any coffee in our coffees - tasted like watered down milk. I swear, it was the worst coffee I've ever had.Anyways, please see the attached pictures/videos for reference. I still would love to get a refund, which I could not request because I was in a rush. If u seek any espresso-based drinks, STAY AWAY from this place.They should rename the place to attract people seeking a bubble tea, the place is cute inside. But it's not a coffee shop. You could also hire someone who can operate the coffee machine and serve a good coffee.PS. Normally, I don't waste produce, but this coffee was not drinkable. Went straight to trash.

For a place named Coffee Haus you'd assume they'd be known for their coffee or at least be a coffee forward place. Nope. If you want coffee/espresso, do not go here. If you want bubble tea or smoothies then yeah, this is the spot. I'm a coffee enthusiast and worked in the industry for a stupid long time, and something I enjoy doing is checking out different cafes and specialty coffee shops. I ordered a latte and my friend, a cappuccino. Both drinks were scalding hot to where they were not drinkable right away. The espresso was non existent and our drinks tasted like hot milk. I asked for an additional pull of espresso so I could at least try and make the drink salvagable and because I wanted to see how they pulled their espresso. Woof. The associate topped off my latte but the cup was overfilled and the drink was spilling out the sides. LOL. On the positive side, the cafe was cute. I liked the decor and there's lots of seating.

Ordered to go, blended taro with boba was good! Unfortunately, Thai iced tea wasn't and was given very little boba in that drink. Skip the Thai iced tea.

Cozy atmosphere with boba drinks that are not too sweet yet taste delicious. Food portions are well sized and presented nicely. A good place to get a quick drink or do some coursework comfortably.

i like one thing from here and they made it SO watery!!! its the chocobanana peanut butter smoothie and it barely tasted like it.I came in and it was empty except for a pair that had ordered already. There were 2 people working, the white blonde gurl had noticed me but didnt say hello or ask for my order so i stood there awkwardly for a while. When she finally came over I got the most fake, insincere over the top greeting and she asked for my order. I was so creeped out and taken aback. Im just gonna start making these smoothies myself. Sorry bye.

Didn’t love the customer service, I ordered my drink and once I got it, it had hair in it and I asked for a refund and the girl who was working refused to give me one.
BEST boba shop in ALL OF ELGIN!!! Hits every time, nice atmosphere, and they always got something good on aux. I’ve always loved going to the Schaumburg location in middle school and now I’m happy having spent my teen and adult years when they opened here ?Boba is good but I suggest trying the citron tea!!! GARFIELD APPROVED?

Coming from an ex employee. Do not go here and do not support. The back area is absolutely disgusting. (Mold growing everywhere, all dishes are cleaned with just bleach and water, constant flooding of back area, bathrooms are never cleaned). This is not a company I am proud to say I worked at and supported.

Went here to get boba and ended up leaving. poor girl was all by herself with no help and it was SO busy. I don’t know how she does it I would’ve walked out from the stress. Id recommend schaumburg location.
