“Doit's Village Inn. What can I say negative about this place. Absolutely nothing. I've been going into this bar for numerous years. And I've always been welcomed with a smile from the bar tender , too the kitchen cooks , to the customers. 5 stars for the food. 5 stars for The cook at Village inn, Mr gravy. One of the nicest men you will ever meet.. I met 2 gentlemen while shooting pool just 2 days ago. And shot pool with them and chatted for 4 hrs and enjoyed myself. I've made many of friends here. If you have never been here then you need to stop in, play there slots 5 stars, have some drinks 5 stars order some food 5 stars. Thank you every one.“

“Halloween weekend - busy place and seemed a bit understaffed as our server was managing several tables as well as making drinks at the bar. However, service was timely,efficient and cheerful. I split a sandwich with an accompanying friend and our server very thoughtfully had split the check and our drink orders without us even asking- very impressive especially on a busy night! We had the Cuban and it was well prepared with crispy bread as it should be. Prices are in line with quality and quantity. Their cocktail menu is fun but most importantly the cocktails taste good. Setting is quite casual and can tend to be noisy. My only negative is I wish they had fries!“

“Nice clean and friendly environment, with a great view of the bridge. Only two trucks present on Saturday light, but good food offerings, and one of the best bars and "mixologists" in town! Lots of people inside and out enjoying the rare beautiful summer evening, perfect temperature, comfortable Adirondack chairs, and great music presented by the Buzz Tones! They sounded great! What a wonderful downtown Alton "date night" experience with my wife!!!“

“A wonderful establishment! The new cook, Mark, is definitely on the ball. The food was cooked made to order, accurately dressed, quality and quantity was two thumbs up. The atmosphere is quietly pleasant yet enough pep to get the spirits going. It is a good place to gather with friends and family or just a quiet evening out solo or with a significant other. This establishment is kid friendly, but most adults choose family time here during the day or dinner. The evenings are most enjoyable being in a non discriminate establishment with a variety of positive kind folks. The staff are extremely catering to each individual wants and they are very patient, respectful, and kind. The staff practice universal precautions in sanitation throughout the hours of their shift. This is a family friendly, stranger friendly, everybody friendly environment. What tops this place off is the most affordable prices from the alcoholic beverages to the appetizers and main dishes. I highly recommend this particular social restaurant to frequent. This is a place of safety and will help contribute to a well balanced quality of life!“

“We were driving around downtown Alton with our moms and stopped in for a drink—what a spot! The inside of the bar has all the things—huge and beautiful wood bar, tables aplenty, TVs playing all the sports all games, slots, and the best part of all: Ricky the bartender, who welcomes everyone regardless of who they are with a warm smile and story after story to make you feel like you are at home. This chance encounter ended up being a highlight of our weekend trip to Grafton. Definitely check this bar out; you’ll be glad you did!“

“i've enjoyed many meals in this establishment, and I've never been disappointed and always highly pleased!! This particular trip was only with the intent of enjoying one of their Bloody Mary with a close friend. As usual, it's just the best thing ever ina bloody Mary! Condiments of dill pickle, a baby slim Jim, olives, green bean, lime and lemon as garnish completed the perfectly balanced drink! The service is phenomenal.... server Lauren is beautiful, clean and efficient moving quickly and fluidly. The ambience is better than just about everything in the area. The one thing that I question is the little bit of dirt and dust on the mirror lol .......it does add to the ambience, of a small town bar and grill!! overall it be hard-pressed to find a better place for a Bloody Mary and great food.!!“

“I love that this place has karaoke and that fact had an impact on my decision to move to this area. The drinks are standard, the menu is straight up and the staff are wonderful. I cannot comment on the food as of yet because I haven't had the pleasure of eating here. “Music was awesome The original Mojos. Maybe the Marina should reach out to the Neighbors to come to an understanding that the music will only play to 9pm. I guess some folks need sleep over enjoying quality music after 9pm. We hope to attend another jam fest at the marina. Tiki hut is gorgeous, we sat in our lawn chairs with our dog in the shade.“

“I stopped in here for a day drink, and was surprised that an IPA was only $2! However, they only take cash, so be forewarned. It's a unique bar that used to be an old fire house of at least 100 years old. Very friendly folks and the bartender was very nice, she knew a little about the place too. I'd recommend stopping here for a watering hole.“

“Excellent dive bar. I discovered, Town Club on Facebook and started following them. They really caught my attention by posting their daily food specials. Double Cheeseburger with Crinkle Fries and Bubba's Taco's were two that really tempted me for my first visit. I went for lunch with plans of ordering the daily special, Bubba's Tacos. However, once I got there, read the menu and chatted with the bartender, I ordered the G-Man. G-Man, is a 1/2 pound, hand breaded pork tenderloin sandwich. It was huge. I trimmed it down to just a little bit bigger than bun size, so I could pick it up to eat. The breading was a crisp thin coating, that had just the right amount of seasoning. It came with a side of crinkle fries, which are my favorite style of fries.I am a big fan of ketchup being served in little cups. For me it is more sanitary then having a bottle sitting on the bar or table. I requested just a smear of mayo on my sandwich. To make sure I had the right amount, the chef gave me a packet, so I had control. He even came to me and asked if it was enough, or if I needed another. Which I didn't, one was perfect. The customer service from the bartender and chef was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere was a true old fashioned neighborhood dive bar. It was extremely clean and inviting. Now that I have experienced, Town Club it may become one of my go to spots for lunch.“

“Ken's sits right across from the steel mill and, back in the day, I'm sure it was a rumble tumble place but now it's just a nice neighborhood tavern with three pool tables, an outdoor smoking area that's covered and walled with a privacy fence and child drinks. Like the area, the characters may not always be pretty but they're usually pretty friendly.“

“We stopped by for a drink after dinner. First impression was an overwhelming smell of smoke. Apparently the room in the back is a smoking lounge and of course the smell leaks out into the main area. We got used to it pretty quickly. It's not nearly as bad as bars used to be. The bartender was great. Drinks were cheap and not too watered down like a lot of places. The music was at a comfortable level. We all enjoyed it and will stop by again if we are out that way.“
