We couldn't try the food as a live cockroach crawled out of the to-go container. Azteca would not refund my $63 order. I will not return as this place is unsanitary and customer service is greatly lacking.

Really, really solid Mexican food spot! My family ate in and had an excellent experience. The free chips and salsa were really good and it was a big portion of salsa which I appreciate rather than having to ask for more over and over again. Everyone liked their meals - I got the veggie fajitas and I really loved the vast amount of different veggies they included! Most places just use peppers and onions for their veggie fajita option. We had to wait a bit from when we were finished to get our bill and pay but they were really busy. I will definitely be back when I'm in town!

Oh my gosh! First timer and I can't say enough great things about this place. We had such a great experience. Our service was amazing!! The street tacos, OMG!!! The barria tacos! A MUST!!!!! this will be my new go to place. So good!! My husband and I truly enjoyed it

I was in Springfield for work with my crew of guys and we wanted some authentic Mexican food so we looked up some places and we came across AZ-T-ECA. The place was nice nothing fancy the service was good and the atmosphere was good also but the food was delicious I order azteca fajitas that came with rice and beans and salad and avocado and tortillas it was very filling and the taste was great I was not disappointed.

Had a lunch reservation for a work event. Service was amazing! They seated us right away, got food and drinks out super fast, and were very attentive. Food was pretty standard midwest Mexican. I had the veggie combo with the chile relleno, bean tostada, and a cheese enchilada. Everything was hot and very fresh tasting. The sauce on the chile relleno was flavorful. Good place to go if you want a quick bite for lunch!
Food was delicious. I thought for the price, the shrimp tacos, with 3 shrimp only and small, I would say that was my only complaint!

I recently lunched at Az-T-Ca with my brother. - this was our first and last visit. Did I catch them on an "off" day? Maybe, but I'm not going back to find out. While nothing about our visit was bad it also wasn't good.I don't enjoy writing reviews that are less than 5 star; I understand that running a restaurant is hard work and I don't want to harm anyone's business. But we were the only customers in the place and it wasn't our fault that the food was cold.It wasn't my fault that when I ordered a Coke a tepid bottle was set down before me. Were all the glasses unavailable? I didn't ask for one, or for ice. I wanted to see if this was an oversight. It was not. I did finally find someone to reheat the food. Did I mention that we were the only two customers?

We sat at the bar. We tried to order a custom Margarita but the bartender could not understand what we were asking. So we gave up on getting a drink and ordered the chicken and beef fajitas. The portions were generous but the meat was very tough and tasteless. The overall service was bad when sitting at the bar during the lunch hour as they don’t seem to have a full time bartender

Walked in on a Monday night, which I understand is a slow night for restaurants. No one was standing there to greet us. Finally after 10 minutes a lady carrying a togo cup she was drinking walked up and sat us. As we were being walked to our table in an empty restaurant, I saw 4 employees standing at the bar just using their cell phones. I could clearly see that this place was not being managed at all and if it was, it was poor at best. The usual chips and salsa was dropped on the table promptly and no server came to take our order for another 10 minutes in an empty restaurant..... Finally had a server and ordered some drinks and apps. I ordered a Tecate and got a can with a lime wedge on top and no glass. Guessing this server just didn't want to be working tonight because it was slow and no direction from any management. The food wasn't great by any means, never has been any other time I've been. The service was dreadful and having to repeatedly ask for to go boxes and the check and the server would only bring one and disappear for another 10 minutes. Overall just not a great experience and with as many Mexican restaurants in town it's not worth going back....
