We were in Springfield for a competition and heard about Scheels. We were told it was like a bass pro on steroids and they weren't kidding! They carry everything! Hunting, fishing, camping stuff. Alll kinds of brands of clothes! North face, Nike, Columbia.... It goes on and on. Oh and a Ferris wheel and candy store! And a cafe with wraps and fudge and such. This really could be a one stop Shopping event!

Great store with great employees! All employees smile and engage with customers. There is so much between Candy stores, the fudge store, Ferris wheel and games throughout for the kids. There is a lot to pick from for gifts or any sports fan. Plus fun photo ops!

I was in Springfield for a business meeting and my hotel was next door. I had some time to kill and wanted to check this place out. This place is mind-blowing. It's like Target, Kohl's, Bed Bath and Beyond, and Dick's all merged together. There's a Ferris wheel smack in the middle of the building and other little gems throughout the store including a candy shop! I kept running into one of the managers as I meandered about and each time we had a small conversation about where Scheels started and where they might expand to and just an overall great convo every time we ran into each other. I told him I needed to find a little something for my kiddo and he brought a little stuffed branded Scheels dog for me to give to her. Listen, if you're traveling anywhere near Springfield, IL this is a destination. It's outstanding and a little overwhelming because it's so huge. They have EVERYTHING. I'm not kidding.

Definitely worth the stop while in town-got sole delicious chocolate and chocolate covered bacon from the candy store and took a spin on the Ferris wheel

I Purchased, a box of ammunition from you folks, and this is how it came. The ammunition box was broken. Part of the shells were inside the cardboard box, which had a hole in it so part of the shells are missing, There was no packing or anything in the box. Gregg Moore 765-275-9224 [email protected]

Completely unsanitary. Gal making the sandwich had her belt buckle and belt dragging through the sandwich toppings and onto the sandwich she was making. They were using their fingers, no gloves, to check the temperature of the already dried out food (corn dog nuggets and chicken strips) to see if they'd rewarmed it enough. Then playing with hair ponytails and again no washing before rechecking temp again. No gloves either and used the same hands to collect money and serve ice cream.There wasn't a single table that wasn't dirty and good luck with cup lids.Sure it was an okay price for the quantity but I'd have paid double to get quality and sanitary focused cooking.Will not return.Kid-friendliness: Had chicken tenders and corn dog nuggets if you're feeling brave with lack of sanitary conditions.
