If only I could give 0 stars for service - from the second we put our name in for waiting for a table until we got our check, the service from every staff member down to the manager was HORRIBLE. I don’t understand how this place stays in business - please don’t go here if you can avoid!!

I thoroughly enjoyed my visit our local Outback Steakhouse at 2590 Wabash Ave in Springfield, IL. Our server was Jasmine. She was polite, helpful with explaining the dishes to choose from and she checked on us often. It was Easter Sunday so it was very busy, but Jasmine managed all her tables with joy and ease. We did however have a small complaint concerning the steak my wife ordered. She ordered medium well but it came as well done. My wife hates her steak dry and tough, so needless to say she was pretty disappointed. That’s when things turned for the surprising better. The manager, Gerald, was working this day and he periodically walked from table to table to make sure everyone was happy. When we mentioned to him that my wife’s steak was made too done, he promptly said “Oh no! We don’t okay that! It’s going down!!!! I’m gonna get that taken care of asap!” - 15 mins later Jasmine came to our table with a not only a medium well steak, but the full platter of what she ordered. And he removed my meal off the ticket. A pleasant surprise and a proper use of his title as manager. So this is why we are documenting this review, because this staff and management deserves praise!!! The food is always very good and the staff is always very nice the only reason I gave this three stars is just such a strong smell of urine right when you come in the door and the floor is slick. My guess is whatever they're mopping the bathroom floor with does not get rinsed out or have a green killer in the water it just smells of urine in the entire restaurant. Maybe it's just old fabric on the booths that smell of urine. Maybe it's in the HVAC system ?This is a shame because the staff is very nice and the food is very good.
My wife and I usually really enjoy and almost always choose to go to Outback steakhouse but unfortunately that's not the case today although the food was prepared quickly but the steak was the wrong one and there was no offer to make it righ. the food was mediocre. I won't be visiting the Springfield Outback Steakhouse anytime soon.

The portion to cost value seem to quite expensive. It was prepared. Okay. Portions were rather small and only included one.The service was slow. And it seemed almost as if we were in the way. Certain parts of the meal weren't brought out until the main entree such as my salad. And the bread was delayed as well.I certainly think they could have done better considering it has been a number of years since we've been there and I foresee it will be a number of years before going back.

Went to eat last night in springfield Illinois for my daughter's bday. I called ahead and asked if they could do a party of 17 they said yes. We went in there early and the hostess asked if we could wait 10 min to get it set up. They sat there for 15 min talking about how they were going to seat us then split us up. When they finally sat us we had 3 separate tables and the new ones you slide together. The waitress was upset cause of how they sat us so she slid the 3 tables together and the other table that. Slid together. When we got there they were not that busy at all. And we had 3 different tickets. Please tell me why one ticket of 3, 2 tickets of 2, and a ticket of 9 got our food at different times. All from the same party but the ticket of 9 had to wait while the rest of our party was already done with their food and people that came in after us already was getting their food. Was not very happy with that. No manager came and said sorry or anything it wasn't the waitresses fault but everytime we asked she said it should be coming up and she was checking on but didn't come back to the table to let us know anything. When she did come back to ask how everything was I said just waiting on our food still she went back and checked on 5 min later said they were plating it. 15 min later they bring our food. I was very disappointed and if people are going to have separate tickets for a big party make sure the cooks are doing their job right as well because splitting the food up like it was done was not acceptable and the place is going downhill again. My husband and I ate there 2 weeks before and the service was horrible. Didn't get bread at all we had to ask for it Waitress barely came to the table food was horrible and sat in the window fries weren't edible ordered filets asked for medium came out rare when sent back still not done correctly and then based like they were expired potatoes were cold. I will not go back there and pay ungodly amount for horrible service and food.
