Our server was overheard talking about how “colored” people don’t tip. Gave us bad looks and even worse service. Seemed too busy flirting with every female in there. Skinny one ear ring boyVegetarian options: NoneDietary restrictions: Good luck couldn’t tell us if the mash potatoes had butter. Because he don’t watch them make it.

We frequent Dublin Pub often, especially later in the evening. They have a wide selection of dishes. The Spinach salad is especially good, as is the flat iron steak. My wife loves the French fries and the impossible burger with all the toppings. I like the mushroom & swiss burger, and they'll cook it medium rare which is my choice. Great service.2/26/2024: We again went to Dublin Pub for dinner, and to put it mildly, it was awful. The service was good; that's where good ended. My wife ordered chicken noodle soup and a salad. The soup was more like chicken and dumplings, was flavorless, and barely warm. She didn't finish it. I had corned beef and cabbage. Again, not much flavor, the corned beef was tough, and the dish was watery: the cabbage had not been drained before serving. What made the evening worse was the loudest bartender we've ever experienced; people downtown could have heard her. She was accompanied by an equally loud man at the bar who clearly had too much to drink, and a couple who who constantly cackled with their loud voices. We were seated across from the bar and had difficulty carrying on a conversation. We won't be back soon.Last night's rating: 4* for service, 1* for food and atmosphere.

Dublin's used to be one of my favorite places in town. Unfortunately, like many other establishments, they lost something during covid, and just appear to be struggling by in mediocrity. Note they were having issues even before Covid, but they were still in our night out rotation. First the food quality has suffered. They are clearly using inferior ingredients. I recently tried their Reuben (This should be a slam dunk for an Irish pub), it was dry and tough, as in the meat was made several days ago and reheated. The time before I had the "walleye", and it was clearly pollock (With Walleye prices). Second the prices skyrocketed. $15 for a burger in Springfield?!! I'm willing to pay that for a good burger, but this just isn't it. Their burgers are clearly frozen. Finally, the restaurant/bar looks run down, and really needs an update. The walls were dirty, and the floor needed sweeping - at 5pm on a Sunday... The staff are hit or miss as well. I have long supported Dublins, knowing they are a Darcy's Pint knock off, but I just no longer can do so. If you want good Irish pun food, skip Dublins, and go to Darcy's.

Portions reduced, horseshoe=pony. Tasted good, but service tainted that. Lots of empty booths, yet service was still very poor. Also, don’t bother saying anything about it, no one cares.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon for lunch (because our normal, Darcy's Pint, was closed) and were told it would be 35-45 minutes probably for a table. After we agreed to wait, the hostess then said well it could be faster. We were sat in about 10 minutes. A waiter came and took our drink orders, but said he was too busy with others to take our food orders. About 10-15 minutes our waitress got to us. I only saw the two working on our side of the restaurant. Both were super friendly and running around trying to take care of everyone. Clearly short staffed. After we placed our food order, appetizers took about 15 minutes to come out and another 10-15 minutes for food. Nothing was exceptional, mediocre at best. All the waiting we were there for about an hour and a half for barely warm mediocre bar food. Our bill with tip (for 6 people) was $180! Was our first time and will for sure be our last. Oh and clean your ketchup bottles that are on the tables! Against health department regulations to have dried up ketchup on the outside of the lid.

Awful service. Awful food. Last time.

One thing is if the food is exceptional; willing to overlook bad service. However when the food you order and service are both horrible; makes for an awful dining experience. Horseshoes served as pony shoes, with over cooked meat. Last time for me and my guests.
