Unique interior space and vibe.. it was a slow Wednesday weekday morning 9am few people in there...food was plentiful.. and delicious.

Extremely disappointing to say the least. We were greeted with disrespect and a dismissive attitude. After asking to speak with the manager both the manager and the man that greeted us came and the manager compared herself and the man who greeted us to colored people because they are Hispanic. Her words. Extremely racist; disrespectful and ignorant remark because my husband is black. I’m Hispanic and it’s extremely sad how they chose to excuse their behavior. I’m not sure if these people are the owners or just managers but they certainly do not have the skills needed for customer service. The man was confrontational and dismissive. Our family will not be visiting this restaurant ever again.

I must relay the WONDERFUL experience I had recently at Southern Cafe. This past Saturday, I had invited various friends to lunch after a meeting. I thought about 10-12 would join. Turned out 29 responded! So here we all come around 1-1:15pm(they close at 3). SC rose to the occasion with swiftness, poise, and professionalism! EVERYONE left delighted, full, and pleased. And with bags…because of the massive portions of food!! I would like to say Southern Cafe is one of my favorites! Thank you and we WILL be seeing you again! And a shout out to Ms. Grace, our table’s waitress, who showed what it looks like to do your job skillfully and GRACEfully(no pun intended ha-ha)! She was EXCELLENT!

BLUF: Eat here, very nice Upscale Breakfast place with tons of unique food choices!-Good Coffee, they offer flavored creamer.-tons of unique items on the menu, it will take you a while to sample everything.-portions are ginormous!-the Nasty Biscuit did not disappoint, it was as delicious as it looks, believe the hype.-pancakes are huge, they fill the plate and are tasty.Atmosphere is really cool, it’s a farmhouse look with multiple levels. Bigger on the inside than it looks with a great layout.Resturant cleanliness: clean and niceRestroom: clean and nice, little fancyYou will have leftovers, unless you haven’t eaten in days!

I'm not sure if the lady in the front counter was having a bad day, but when I went to pick up my order she was very rude and dismissive. She basically just handed me the bag and left without saying anything. As a customer I would think they would appreciate my business even if is from a pick up order. I do have to say that their stuffed French toast are amazing.
