Wonderful food. Great staff I had 1 of the best steaks that I've had in years! The best night of the week is Thursday.

Wowza! Delicious steaks at fair prices. The restaurant is nice, outside is pretty dated but not too bad inside. I'll go back.

Food was very good, portion sizes are decent. The dessert portion sizes are big. Our server was great and the atmosphere was ok. It is a bit old decor but I think it's part of its history.

I have passed this restaurant too many times to count. Had a few friends recommend for an anniversary dinner and glad I went. Really cool "old school" ambience. Great service, never felt rushed and answered all questions on the menu. So many things I wanted to try but went with the filet and lobster. The steak was cooked perfectly as I had asked for medium rare. My wife had steak also and said the same. The food was so good that I'll be back. I would make reservations next time as the place was quite crowded at 8:00 on a Saturday. Great meal!

Holy moly, you need to make a reservation and get in as soon as possible! I have grown up near St. Charles my whole life and honestly never tried St. Charles Place until tonight, and I've been missing out. The vibe inside is very unique, historic, and straight out of a movie. The food is 10 out of 10! We got the shrimp dejoure and steak brushetta for an appetizer, and it did not disappoint. The shrimp was jumbo sized, so good! For my main dish, I got the Steak Au Pouvre with the New York Strip, and it was out of this world. My steak was cooked perfectly, and the cognac sauce is so good you could drink it. Everyone else at the table got prime rib, and that did not disappoint either. We finished off with dessert, and the Key Lime Pie was amazing. I am beyond shocked that this place has only 4.5 stars. I've had the Gibsons, Mortons, Capital Grills, and Ruth Chris's of the world, and I would say tonight's experience would top those.

The owners are the best, food is fantastic, ambiance is very classy and chill! If you're not stopping by here, are you even really eating?

Not a restaurant we would normally choose for ourselves: it's a steak place and we're both vegetarians. But we brought my elderly dad and his best friend (both in their late 80s) as a special treat for several of their birthdays. They both ordered filet mignon every time. Their steaks were always moist, tender, and cooked to perfection (one ordered rare; the other ordered well-done). After the meal, they'd loosen their belts and leave happily stuffed. They're both deceased now. So I can't comment on current food quality or customer service. But I have two suggestions for you as a potential customer if anyone in your party has vision or hearing challenges, as they each did.Vision ... The lighting really is low light. If you have to walk across the main dining room to your table, you may want to have your phone flashlight ready so that person may better see where they are walking. Also, for our final visit, our dear guys had to use their cellphone flashlights to read the menus AND to see to cut their steaks. You may want to ask for extra lights on your table to help with this. I didn't think of this at the time; wish I had.Hearing ... We usually made our weeknight reservations to arrive about 4:30 pm to avoid the busy and noisy dinner period. Our final visit, there were 7 in our party and we were seated at a round table. That was nice, except that there was so much other (happy) noise from the tables surrounding us that on this special occasion we couldn't hear to interact with each other. Even our server had trouble hearing us and being heard. Especially for a group larger than 4, you may want to request a rectangular table seating or at least something at the edges of the dining room.Vegetarian options: It's a steak house. Vegetarian options are extremely limited.

Love this place. The waiters are attentive but not pushy. The drinks, appetizers, main course, and dessert are all outstanding. We come with friends and sometimes just by ourselves and have never been disappointed!

Very unique and wonderful restaurant. All the rustic woodwork inside is amazing... and the massive fireplace is impressive. The friends I went with had steaks, and said they were some of the best they've ever had. I had a giant salad that was fresh and very tasty. The prices are what you'd expect for a higher end steakhouse.Well worth a visit!

Atmosphere was nice but the waitress didn't seem interested in our business - no smile, no mid-meal check, etc. The ribeye steak was cooked perfectly, however, had the texture of a sirloin tip - kind of dry and lean. For $62 I could have done much better at Luke's. The three stars is basically for the disinterested service and way overpriced meal. Too much competition to bother returning.

Wonderful place to eat. The food was amazing and the hospitality spectacular. And if you like rustic post and beam architecture then you'll love it here.Parking: A good amount of lot parking.Wheelchair accessibility: The restaurant has a revolving door but also 2 standard access door for handicapped access. It's also all one floor so it can accommodate wheelchairs.
