Drinks were small, glasses were dirty, food was beyond terrible (like it has been sitting for days), bathrooms were freezing and haven’t been updated in probably 20 years. Our waitress was very sweet and personable but I would not recommend this.

We enjoyed dinner at the Filling Station on Main Street in Saint Charles, Illinois. It is cleverly decorated with historical pieces of Saint Charles. This is definitely a family gathering place. There are large tables to accommodate big families and parties, and a menu with a wide variety of options. The dining area was clean and well-maintained. The service was also very good, friendly and attentive. We enjoyed a Grilled Veggie Sandwich on Oat Bran Bread with Potato Salad, the Southwest Salad with Chicken, and Shrimp Tacos with Coldslaw. All the dishes were well prepared, fresh tasting, and very delicious. A great place to dine!

This business appears to be using Shrinkflation; The practice of reducing a product's amount or volume per unit while continuing to offer it at the same price.As an example, we paid $13 ( $9.99 base + $2.99 to add chicken ) +tax to share a quesadilla between two people. When it came out, it was small; they used a 6" tortillas (about the size of a taco shell) when it should have been, at least, a 10" tortilla. Basically, we paid 2x what we should have.Alcoholic drinks had the same problem. Home made turkey chili was ok. You couldn't tell it was turkey. The side salad was pretty plain. 95% lettuce, it could use more ingredients.
