The staff are wonderful. They truly love what they do. You have to save room for Olive Oil cake. It is amazing.

A long-time favorite. Wonderful homemade soups and desserts, lovely selection of teas, and a top-notch independent book store to browse while you wait for your table or after you eat.

Cute little cafe. Small place, so small menu, but it has everything you need. They have an option for vegans too. Homemade soup and sandwiches. Great for a quick lunch.Parking: Park across the street in the free lot.

Enjoyed the ginger peach ice tea and the Book Club salad. Cozy lunch spot attached to a bookstore. You will love it!

It's the best restaurant in St. Charles in my opinion! The food is all delicious and there are some great vegetarian options. They're pretty busy sometimes but you can wander around the bookstore while you wait for a table, or you can order food to go instead.

One of the big reasons we visit St. Charles! Great bookstore, good selection of books and lots of book recommendations from booksellers. Cafe has really good food. Their salads are flavorful, good soups and special sandwiches. The one time we indulged in Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie. Excellent!

Sandwiches are absolutely fantastic. Coffee is way above average. Recommended.

One of the most charming places in town! First, I think it's important to have as many independent bookstores as possible, and Town House is great for that. But the cafe is also wonderful - the soups, sandwiches and salads are amazingly fresh and taste like someone you love made them in the kitchen of their house for you. They all come with yummy veggie kettle chips. The atmosphere is great too, whether you're inside or outside amongst the flowers in the garden. Come for the books, stay for the food!

Such a cute and friendly place. Food is great, and a bit imaginative. I have been going for years, and have never had a less than 5 star experience. After eating, take a few moments to check out the adjacent bookstore.
