This is a really cool area in downtown St. Charles. Great place for wine tastings and the best exotic cheese selection around. Cheese with espresso, cheese with water buffalo milk. Really wild. Good selection of wines too. 50% shop, 50% 100% fun.

I just finished a wine and cheese tasting class focusing on the Pacific Coast at Vintage 53 and found it to be a great experience. I have taken the bourbon experience as well which was delightful as well. If you have a couple of hours, sign up for a class and enjoy a great experience. The staff is top notch!!!!!

Disappointed in the price and quality. $70 for a charcuterie board with pepperoni, summer sausage and dill havarti. It was very little food on the tray. It was not a good presentation. I was embarrassed to bring it to my friend's house. I expected so much more.

What a cute, cozy spot in St Charles. We visited this spot over the holidays. You select from an extensive menu the items for your individualized board. We ordered a 4 cheese( aged cheddar, dill havarti, blue cheese and Gruyère) and 3 meat(salami,capicola and prosciutto), along with crackers, bread, bacon jam, pickles and olives. The bacon jam was the best I have ever had! What a beautiful board and for the 4 of us, so much to eat! Our waiter/bartender, John, was very helpful and attentive. Our drink selections were equally good. Three of us enjoyed white wine and one had a super good old fashioned. Just a wonderful late afternoon meal! We will be back on our next trip to STC!

I was in there for the first time yesterday and not only is it a cool store, but they have a wide variety of cheeses and excellent selection of wines. Their customer service is outstanding and I had a lot of fun trying out a few cheeses and wines before purchasing them. The knowledge of the gentleman who helped me was great and he made the experience and decision choices really fun and easy! I'm definitely going back!

A really lovely spot for a date night. Great selection of cheeses and wines. The two guys that served myself and my wife at the bar helped us out with some recommendations for downtown Chicago as well as helping with wine choices. I highly recommend Vintage 53. See you next time we are in town.

This is our second visit. Surely this place can't be as good as it was in our first visit, right? As usual I was wrong. Vintage 53 is incredible. Their wine selection is flawless and their cheese pairings are spectacular. And the staff is very attentive and knowledgeable. This is now our go to spot for a glass of wine and some perfectly paired cheeses. As a tip, ask the staff for their recommendations. They know their stuff.
