We had pretty much stopped going to Hardee's because it was just overall not a good experience. I've got to say, I think they are really working on getting things back on track. I've been there a few times recently and the food was good, the employees were well groomed and friendly, didn't take too long to receive my order and the restaurant looked cleaner. 4 stars only because I'm cautiously optimistic:) They also have the $6 meal which is a bargain these days!
The food was delicious. The service lacked any personality. The clerk, or whatever the crewmember is called there, didn't say anything but repeat what the bill was. There wasn't another word said. I've experienced this more often at fast food restaurants. It makes me wonder what training, if any, is being offered.

We were driving through Staunton and decided to grab a bite at Hardee's. It was clear that they were understaffed and having a hard time coordinating taking orders and preparing them but the lady worjing the drive through was very pleasant despite working in challenging conditions. We are so thankful for the service at Staunton Hardee's!
