Stopped by here after doing a club fitting at Sub 70, and this place is my heaven on earth! Had a great Italian beef sandwich that tasted like the freshest beef I've ever had in a sandwich. Picked up some sausages too.It's a shame I live down in Chicago because this place is an absolute gem!

Stopped here for lunch today and had the boneless, butterfly, smoked pork chop sandwich. Really, really good pork chop. They also smoke beef rounds to make their Italian beef, which is what I will order next time I stop there. Their homemade brats sound good p, also.

Absolutely the best food in Northern Illinois! Family run businesses that creates the best tasting food! Great variety, great prices and you can pick up a steak to grill later on, what could be better than that! I am so happy that they are so close to my house!

Love this place. One of the best pork chop sandwiches around. Just a small mom and pop shop but makes everything on outside smokers/grills. They have homemade salads and desserts. Great place for lunch in the summer with outdoor seating. No seating indoors carry out only. Tom and his wife are always there working and service is always pretty quick. They also have a small butcher counter for take home cook your self items

How much do I love a butcher shop with a bbq restaurant all in one? Is not a trick question, I love them! This one tucked away in a slow road and filled with fresh meats and Americana. The butcher and pit master, showed me the fresh cuts, including organic Amish chicken, seasoned with his distinctive spices, I can tell you it was a hit with the family. I also got the meat and sausage roll and the two meat combo with pork chop and bbq ribs, yummy. The hot food comes rapped with aluminum foil with each hot item getting its own pocket of foil. Like I said, this is Americana, with that hint of nostalgia come a lot of food for a very reasonable price, including home made salads, like traditional loaded potatoes salad, creamy coleslaw to more adventurous, Shrimp Macaroni Salad, and Bowtie Crab Salad. I will definitely have to get some steaks and home made sausages for the grill monster, and might even try some of their fresh habanero cornbread. Man my mouth is watering just thinking about it! The service is nice and welcoming, and the ambiance is roadside bbq shack meets clean and orderly butcher shop, in what looks like a country store with plenty of benches outside to nosh on.
Stopped in here, the owner was a very nice guy. He came out from behind the counter showed me and my wife around the place. We bought some things for the grill, but also got the butterfly pork chop sandwich and it was awesome. Definitely will be back.

I have been coming to Country Store & Catering for the past 5 years. The owner and his family are very friendly people. On my first visit they made me feel like a close family friend, like they knew me forever. It's the same way on every visit. They make everyone feel welcomed. Now the food, Outstanding !!!, The pork chop sandwich and the Ribeye sandwich are big and delish. Cooked just the way you want it. I have had just about everything on the menu at some point. All of it is great. The Mac & cheese and the beans are a must. It's all good, you can't go wrong with whatever you get.
