Nina's is my go to taco shop in the DeKalb area. The food and drinks are always phenomenal. The staff is very kind and attentive - always asking if we need anything else and if the food is to our liking. The inside of the shop is a little small, but they have enough tables for a few groups to be able to eat in. We always get the carne asada and al pastor tacos. The meat is tender, crispy, savory, and overall cooked very well. The rice and beans are a great side to add as well. You have the option of hot or mild salsa, and the mild adds great flavor while the hot has great flavor and heat. We also typically get an horchata or agua fresca to drink, and all of their drinks are tasty and refreshing.

Okay I live in Chicago and go to a lot of fancy Mexican restaurants, but the steak tacos from Ninas may be my favorite tacos I've ever eaten.

Great and nice hospitality but the food quality and price is terrible. The horrchata is watered down and the taco plate , I've had better . Due to the over pricing, id rather spend 13$+ on a meal that actually taste delicous .. Wouldn't return .

Overpriced and overrated unfortunately! This used to be the spot for Sycamore to go for Mexican food. The last couple of years new management took over and the quality went down and the prices went up. I took a year off to see if it would improve and unfortunately it got worse! Too bad…. There are better options to choose from in the area fortunately.
