First time visiting, and will unfortunately be my last. The saving grace is the food. The food was legitimately delicious: recommend the loaded nachos, chicken fingers, steak sandwich and french fries because they were all amazing dishes that were cooked to perfection. However, most other aspects of the meal were subpar. They had a good beer selection, but the cocktails weren't great. I ordered one and had to send it back after me and 6 of my friends tasted it and voted it to be undrinkable (it was the blue one). My friend got a margarita that tasted like the bottled mix from our aunt's basement with half a shot of tequila added. Didn't even salt the rim to balance out the sweet/sour flavor of the mix. The service was hit-or-miss. The server took everybody's food order except for one person; he had to wait until she came back later to order his food. Then his food came out 15 minutes before anyone else's food. Finally, the atmosphere was reminiscent of a local concert with a too-loud sound system, but a band wasn't playing. It was just the music they were piping in. It was difficult to carry a conversation with the person sitting next to me. Strange experience overall, maybe it would be good for takeout.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly from what I saw. It was incredibly loud; could cause hearing damage in small children

Was at this location for a Super Bowl party. The restaurant has a large back patio, which is smoke friendly, and a private back bar that you can rent.Bar food is pricey, but good size portions are good.Staff works well, but needs some training on clearing the tables before bringing out food.Full menu with good variety of plates and appetizers.Parking: Has a community parking lot behind the restaurant and some areas are reserved for the restruant, it's a shared lot for train station.
Great food and service. Also a great selection of brews. Bartenders are very friendly and informative.

My favorite hangout! The food and the staff here are second to none! There's always good food and drink specials just about every day of the week and everything on the menu is tasty, especially the wings! You can't forget about free pizza Friday either! There's always music playing, even when nobody has put anything on with the jukebox. It's always a good time when I come here!Parking: If you can't find parking behind the bar, you can always park at the Metra lot across the street for free.
I've been going to Holsteins on Thirsty Thursdays and to also watch various sporting events for a number of years. In general, for a bar the food is fairly decent. Good pizza on free Pizza Fridays and also their wings and also their Taco Trios are very good. I mostly always sit at bar. Madison is normally the bartender. She does a fantastic job along with having a delightful personality.

The food and service was good. The condiment containers were nasty sticky and greasy. No utensils were offered for our wrapps were offered. There is plenty of seating indoors and out. A nice size stage that was not in use the night I visited. There was no advertising that I could find for any bands playing any dates there. The ladies room had a lot of offensive/obscene things written on the stalls. So clean the salt, pepper, ketchup and mustard bottles after each use. Remove obscenities from the walls because the rest of the restaurant looks nice.
